Most importantly, these two are very flexible with creating whatever setting you want to play in. I feel like a lot of GMs on StartPlaying just list their game as D&D so more people will find it, but you barely use any of the game's mechanics (especially ones offering this type of experience). But with this pair of GMs, I felt like I was actually playing D&D and getting the exciting moments I signed up for. I'm NOT saying they're super nitty-gritty on numbers and details. I'm saying I have played games like this with OTHER GMs and gone an entire month and a half without using something as basic as a single class ability. I realize I'm rambling about a pet peeve of mine but it's all to make this point: if you want to just read text and imagine an adventure, you can use AI... but if you actually want 'A Spicy D&D Experience' with fun roleplay, combat that makes you feel like a badass, and all the juicy stuff you're really here for, then play with this couple.
I had the pleasure of participating in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign led by an exceptional Dungeon Master. Their ability to quickly immerse themselves in character, along with their adaptability to our unpredictable actions, made the game truly remarkable. They skillfully balanced their own narration with opportunities for natural roleplaying among the players. At the end of the campaign we were discussing what our characters did after the finale and I was unsure if what I had in mind was any good, luckily the group was more than willing to hear my ideas as though we were a team creating a story together instead of me feeling like I have to deliver the greatest answer on the spot.
