I have played over 26 sessions with DM Disaster, and initially, I really enjoyed the homebrew world she created. It was rich in lore, especially since she was also running another campaign set in the future of this current one. This interconnected storytelling made the world feel alive and engaging. However, I noticed a shift in the campaign's energy and direction after the other campaign ended and a few players had to leave due to personal reasons. The interest in our campaign seemed to wane significantly from that point onward. When she decided to implement a pre-written campaign into our homebrew world, it felt like the campaign lost its unique touch. The pre-written material didn't quite fit with the established lore and felt somewhat disconnected. This gave me the impression that she wasn't as invested in continuing to develop this campaign. Additionally, the game sessions became increasingly irregular, with many sessions being canceled at the last minute. Communication could have been better regarding game schedules, player availability, and when new players joined or left. I also think that the multiple other campaigns she was running might have divided her focus, which contributed to a lack of enthusiasm and consistency in our sessions. Overall, I am grateful for the games we did have and the time she invested in creating a world that was initially very engaging. However, going forward, I would be hesitant to commit significant time to another campaign with DM Disaster unless I felt she was fully invested and focused on the game. I hope this review provides an honest perspective and helps in any future endeavors.
