Stop looking; you’ve found your next GM. Join Davey’s game and thank me later. Davey is incredibly compassionate, inclusive, and safe, as well as being a true storytelling and literary genius. Our games are incredibly collaborative and unique with insane plot twists and drama. Playing with Davey is a highlight of my week. Davey has become the standard by which I judge other GMs. He’s top of the line. If I could give 100 stars instead of 5, I would.

TLDR: You’ve found your next GM; you can stop browsing. Play in Grayson’s game. You’ll thank me later. Long version: At this point, I have played 100+ hours with Grayson, and I intend to keep playing for as long as he doesn’t get sick of me. Grayson is kind, communicative, responsive, and sensitive, all while running incredibly immersive games with high stakes, deep emotional resonance, and satisfying narratives. Grayson’s games are worth every penny and then some. I began playing in Grayson’s game last fall with a group of strangers. Before we started our game, I was nervous about being overlooked as the only woman in the group, but I quickly learned I had nothing to worry about; Grayson’s table is very equitable, inclusive, and safe. Grayson shows careful effort in making sure every player feels valued and enjoys the game. He's fantastic at balancing PC spotlights in the story and reading the temperature of the group during gameplay, gently reining in players who tend to take over, and nudging players who haven't made any choices or spoken up in a while. Grayson offers surveys for player feedback and acts on the feedback immediately. He’s very approachable and eager to answer questions or help in any way he can. When my schedule changed and I could no longer play with that first group, Grayson reached out to me and set up a new group with me and three irl friends. We’ve been playing this game together for 8 months so far, and have no intention of stopping. Ever. We’re all already talking about what our next campaign will be after we defeat Strahd (or after he turns us all into Capri Suns). Grayson’s storytelling and immersion abilities are truly masterful. Our game is THE HIGHLIGHT of my week (and I say that as a person who participates in a lot of other fun activities, including 3 other dnd groups). Grayson flawlessly weaves every character’s backstory into the game, even despite running a pre-written module. The emotional beats are powerful, the combat feels intense, the social encounters are rich, and I would die for a particular NPC. Grayson’s ability to make fictional people and situations feel incredibly real is amazing. Grayson is a fun and compassionate GM to play with. I’d recommend his table for players who prefer a very “Rules as Written” game, who enjoy great character voices and roleplay, and who are looking for reliability, consistency, and communication from their GM. I’d also recommend him for new players; he’s great at patiently explaining why he rules a certain way, and his rulings are very consistent. Overall, I’d describe Grayson as a Nat 20 GM. Give his game a try, you won’t regret it.
