Paul is a great storyteller. He set up a nice little one-on-one character background building scenario designed to tie in with the main campaign until more players could be found. This was my first time really playing D&D, even though I've been familiar with the game and its rules since I was about 10 years old (add 40 years to that...), and I have to say it was awesome. Paul threaded a nice little story into a practical tutorial that left me with a sense of accomplishment and the feeling of "yeah I'm glad I finally did that - looking forward to next week!".
