I played in one of Kim-s Cypher learn-to-play one-shots and had a fantastic time! This is a new-to-me system, but Kim put everyone at ease by explaining things super clearly and simply, and giving us ample time for asking questions throughout. The game's storyline was really fun, and Kim did a great job supporting it with just enough visuals in the VTT (not too much!) and letting theatre of the mind do the rest. Kim's love of the game and her skill with immersive description were evident throughout. Our party had an absolute blast! I'd gladly play with Kim again, and her introduction to Cypher got me interested in learning more about this system. I also appreciate experiencing different GM styles -- I learned a few things from Kim that I can tell will help me become a better GM myself. A+ GM, would recommend to new and experienced players!

I played in Cory's "Adventurer's Day" one-shot and I'm currently in his Daggerheart Learn-To-Play mini campaign, and I'm having a fabulous time! Cory is a super experienced GM with excellent session 0 and table management skills, as well as a super helpful approach for new players. He does a ton of creative homebrew and is great at storytelling, especially weaving in character backstories and personalities. Cool maps, fun voices (though voices aren't super important to me, it's awesome to see a GM having a blast with his NPC personalities!). It's clear he puts a ton of effort and care into his games. Looking forward to playing in some of Cory's other campaigns, and would gladly recommend him to other players, especially folks new to DnD. I'm learning a lot from him too, and it's helping my own GMing get better. Absolute 10/10 GM!

I played in one of Joe's Daggerheart learn-to-play sessions and had an absolute blast! I was totally new to the Daggerheart system and to both Roll20 and Demiplane, but Joe guided us all through the setup and rules with patience and clear explanations. He has a strong grasp of the mechanics and was able to distill the basics down in a really beginner-friendly way. Our introductory adventure was super fun, with lots of opportunity for creative roleplay and some challenging combat. Joe's scene descriptions were great and we even got to hear some great NPC voices! I had a great time and hope to play at one of his tables again soon. And I'm now a big fan of Daggerheart too!

I had the privilege of attending a Gamemaster Workshop with Michelle here on StartPlaying, and had a fantastic experience! Not only is Michelle extremely knowledgeable about the ins and outs of running TTRPGs, but she was also very organized and kept a great pace for the workshop content. She took a ton of questions and even stayed after a bit to talk through some more specific GMing scenarios. And she provided excellent handouts and sample templates, which I found super useful. I really enjoyed Michelle's presence and communication style and I hope to participate more at her workshops or even maybe a game in the future!

I've had the privilege of playing with JP as both a tablemate and a GM! Whether he's playing a PC or rolling dice behind the GM screen, JP is a truly masterful player of the game. He is creative, imaginative, and incredibly skillful with in-character roleplay. He is also highly collaborative and open to creative (and sometimes chaotic!) party choices that make for great stories. I've learned a lot from him as both a player and a GM myself - it's been a real joy getting to know him around the table, and I highly recommend him to anybody looking for a fun, unforgettable game. Great for new players and experienced folks alike!
