Despite wrestling with roll20 for the 1st time during our intro session of Star trek Adventures, along with players who'd never played using a 2d20 system before; the session was great. Aside from the usual 1st time gaming session roughness, the session was pretty solid for someone like me, a long time TTRPG player that's been on a break & pretty much completely new to a system, let alone one that's outside their normal comfort zones! As for Wazza's style as a GM? Willing to set a scene & let players get tactile with it if they like but also aware of the need to keep the ball rolling, "Yes and" if you will. Speaking as someone who's spent most of their time behind the shield, Wazza juggled their players well & was both generous with rulings but also willing to really walk us through complex problems & rules we were having trouble with. I never felt pressured or rushed to figure things out & could tackle things or ask for clarification at my own pace. Happily recommend them to someone who's a 1st timer at the table. Can't say anything stronger than that!
