About me

Been playing since the whole thing started, lovin' where things are going and the new styles of storytelling that changes in games and players have brought to the table. Lean more towards narrative & world-building than crunch, prone to occasional use of silly voices and outrageous accents of indeterminable source. Ideal game would be a Discworld in 5e.

I joined one of Daniel's one-shots as an introduction to Daggerheart. He's a fantastic GM, and within minutes had our group of total strangers coming together like a party that had been playing together for a while. We even threw him some pretty hefty narrative loops, resolving a potential combat with a narrative presentation about a potenital plumbing job for the fungal kingdom to help them grow! All ran with fluidity and creativity that was really a blast to play.

Andy's one of the best GM's I've had here on Startplaying. He does a fantastic job of setting up the games for all players to feel engaged, heard, and welcome. Hands down some of the most professionally managed sessions, with great care taken to accommodate player's needs, as well as run a deeply immersive stories. Smooth, calm, and pro to the core. Highly recommend!

Erick really goes above and beyond to create great player groups, and give them plenty of room to play their character's out in expressive ways. He's proactive about dealing with issues, and is always timely and ready to rock & roll with a fun and professional attitude!

Princess Pixel - Erika

Erika's enthusiasm and creativity are infectious. They draw from so much experience as a live storyteller for escape room events, puzzle crafting, game design, and a deep well of knowledge about games in general that it adds a ton of unexpected elements to every game they run. They do a great job of weaving in the player's characters and backstories deeply into the story as well, it's really incredible. If you're looking for a campaign that's unique and richly detailed, highly recommend giving Erika a shot!

Ben gave us a great walk-through of the basics of how to play Blades in the Dark. The rules are fairly complex, but Ben really dialed in exactly the right amount of info to cover in an intro session. The session was solid and to the point, and really helped get a feel for what the whole experience of BoTD is all about!
