A couple of sessions into learning Daggerheart and Anthony is a delight to play with and learn from. Endlessly patient with our millions of questions and incredibly helpful in gently nudging us away from mindset of stricter rules that a lot of TTRPGs have, especially in combat. I can't wait to see what happens next at each session.
I think its safe to say that Nikko is my favorite GM on startplaying. He is such an incredibly kind and welcoming person with a great sense of humor and an adaptability like no other. You know logically that most modern game systems have moved away from the GM vs Player mentally to something more about cooperative storytelling and fun, but Nikko’s style really makes you feel it. I’ve never seen a GM who is so excited by a player’s bold choices and crazy narrative swings. He is so genuine in his desire for you to be the hero of the story. Not to say that he’ll pull any punches. Nikko will not hesitate to back your character into a terrifying corner, but he’ll be cheering the loudest when you make that crit when you needed it. He gives 110% every session with his voices and story and there is never a day when I’m not eagerly looking forward to game. He also does a great job of balancing spotlights, making sure to touch base with all the players during a scene to make sure no one is left out. If you're even slightly tempted by one of his games, sign up. You will not regret it.
Max is a fantastic GM, unfortunate our time was cut short due to real world issues on my end, but he was so incredibly open to ideas in the time we had together and was super dedicated to making sure everyone was having fun and telling a story. He is funny and kind and if you have any kind of anxiety about joining a new system or game, he’s a great GM to make you feel at ease.
An amazing GM who knows the rules and she isn't afraid to reach out to you to help understand your character better. They also aren't afraid to sit back and let players interaction and roleplay with each other, giving them room to bond. This is something that I sometimes find lacking on startplaying and it was really great to feel unrushed in learning each other's characters and moving straight to objective a.
