Mike is a great DM. Really striving to make the game fun but also challenging, which is important to me. He's great at balancing rules and narrative. He is good at communicating and keeping an open conversation about the game, rules, expectations, etc. throughout the process. Maps are fun and useful but also accessible and not too complex. NPCs have personality and feel believable without taking up too much space or taking time away from the main campaign. You can tell that he genuinely loves the game and it shows in the work he puts in and the fun we all have during sessions. Mike knows what he's doing but also is genuinely able listen and take honest feedback if there is anything wrong or not working, which is a rare thing and truly a fantastic skill for someone in the role of the rules adjudicator.

I just had my 12th session with Kelly as part of an ongoing campaign. From the start, she was welcoming, encouraging, and obviously excited about the characters we all brought to the table. Her enthusiasm is infectious. It is clear she puts a lot of time, thought, and effort into crafting and customizing the campaign. She's also excellent at "yes and" as well as "no/yes but..." and is clearly on the player's side but also knows how to balance that with providing challenges, both mechanical and story-based. We all laugh a lot and I genuinely look forward to our session all week. Every time we end I can't wait until next time.
