Sean is great at incorporating player backstories and input into the game. He is especially good at building amazing NPCs that define the world and draw in the players. He is great at seeing what player likes about a game, and making it fun for them. This could be epic battles, exploring the lore of his world, or creative problem solving, just to name a few. He knows the rules of the game extremely well, but doesn't let rules stand in the way of a having a good time. If something needs to be tweaked to make the game more streamlined, engaging, or just plain fun, he won't hesitate to let the rules get out of the way to improve the experience for everyone. Personally, I'm a sucker for world building, and Sean does this in an fantastic way. He builds up an intricate world to explore, and then weaves player backgrounds and choices into the world in a way that draws you in, and makes you want to explore it even more.
Was the best part the well crafted story, with exciting twists that keep me invested? Or was it the compelling NPCs played by an actual actor? Or was it the scenes crafted specifically to my character? It hard to say, but probably the last one is the piece that sucks me into my character, immerses me in the world, makes me truly invested in the choices my character made, and the outcome from those choices.
