Me and my wife did a Halloween one shot with this GM and it was epic. A horrifying and scene in a dark gothic world with lots of intense edge of your seat combat/boss fights that kept us struggling to scrape by. Would definitely run with this guy again.

So I can say at this point I’ve played more sessions with mark than I have any other dm over the past year. His stories are engaging, it’s a WestMarch style game so you can (and I have) find yourself on missions that are over your current group’s head. But his voices, his improv on characters make them memorable, some the basecamp as a whole have fallen in love with, some of the villains you feel to despise, others while you know they are the bad guys you can’t help but feel a sort of respect at their devotion to their cause (looking at you Tristan!), it keeps the mood going regardless of whether the setting mood is light hearted and fun, or serious and dire. He has a good pace and know’s how to keep the game rolling. Top it off with an excellent sense of humor and love of corny puns, you’ll never know what you’ll get in Mark’s world, but I can promise you won’t be disappointed! (Also WB Mr. T!)

His Arena style game was super challenging and thematically quirky. Death is a pretty authentic possibility in this game so be prepared. I personally got close to death even with the tough feat to boost my health. Play the crazy builds you always wanted to try out, or as in my case, give yourself an opportunity to try out late level classes/subclass combos and see whether or not you like them before going into a campaign with one.

My wife and I decided to give this one shot a shot for our Halloween, and it was worth it's weight in platinum! As a player myself I always try and find ways to manipulate the environment around me, in order to do that effectively it requires a DM who is consistent with minute details both on the map and within the game and Chris's attention to detail really compliments my preferred style of play. The mood was dark and spooky, the threats were consistent and impressive, even though we only managed to clear a few rooms prior to my wife's own improv leading to an unexpected boss fight, what we did encounter enthused us more than enough to replay the module in the future and see what other traps and hauntings await. Plus note, Chris has a good sense of humor as well, which as a couple who is chronically sarcastic, appreciate greatly!

My wife and myself started our first dip outside of one game in highschool/college into DnD with Nick here. We’ve been hooked ever since. I appreciate the fact that he is able to be patient and flexible with our RP and shenanigans in session as we are on our way to an adventure/encounter even for a one-shot. I also can appreciate the strong possibility of death on this a in depth home-brew world (while not certain, be prepared with a second character in the back of your mind just in case!)
