Miguel knows the rules backwards and forwards, and is fun to create a story with. He crafts an intricate story and encourages every player to contribute especially by bringing in personal backstories and details. There is never a session where I don't feel sad when we reach the end of session and I think that says a lot.
I have been playing DnD for years, and have been playing in Mike's campaigns specifically for 2 years. His homebrewed world is so beautiful and rich in detail, and filled with political intrigue and world building opportunities and developed NPCs. All that you are looking for in a TTRPG. He is also very good with setting scenes and pulling you into his narratives, and is very patient when it comes to new players. If you have the chance, I highly recommend joining his sessions.
I am in one of his current campaigns, and I honestly look forward to it every week. His homebrewed world is rich in diversity and culture, and it is so easy to become immersed in it. However, I think my favorite thing about his campaign is the thought he puts into his characters and their interactions with the players. Every interaction, puzzle, and fight sequence is well-tuned and well-calculated to a point where it is almost impossible not to be drawn into the game.
