About Zaphi

Hi! I'm 25 years old, a whimsy advocate, and parent of the best dog in the world. I have been looking for something I'm really passionate about, and DnD changed my life a couple years ago! I started playing in 2024 and have been playing every week, multiple times a week since then. I have been DMing some campaigns for awhile now, 3 of them being Descent into Avernus and I have run a shorter homebrew campaign as well. I love a good one shot! I run them professionally at my local game shop, and I'm excited to run more on here! Pursuing DMing as a career has been an absolute dream of mine, and I'm doing what I can to make it come true :)

I absolutely adore D&D and wanted to play as much as possible! It's also fun to be able to create your own rules and world and give your players the ability to do the cool things they want to (within reason lol)

How Zaphi runs games

I love a good balance of combat and roleplay, but I'm able to adapt to groups that want more of one or the other! Sometimes I do a series of short combats to wear you down before a big fight, or sometimes I'll just keep combats about middle of the road. I do a mixture of 2014 and 2024, and am lenient about character creation. I do have some house rules, but all of them are beneficial to the player! I usually only run fantasy settings, but I don't mind some arcano-tech!

where we created a new measurement based on the weight of a character's capuchin monkey. The monkey was named piccolo and weighed 20 pounds, so a piccolo = 20 pounds.

My games focus on...

you getting to not only play, but get to know your characters! I do an even mix of combat and roleplay, but I love when you get a chance to really understand and connect with your character; whether that be in a serious or silly way!

meant to be bent! I want you to be able to do the cool and creative things you have in mind! (within reason)

Zaphi's ideal table

Any experience level is welcome! I mainly look for players looking to have a fun time and collaborate with each other. Any demeanor of character is cool with me as long as it doesn't result in PVP, or being rude to characters to a point where the player is uncomfortable. I love humor and lightheartedness, and would love to have creative people at my table! But if creativity is hard for you because you're just beginning, don't worry about that! You can always ask questions if needed, and being shy is no problem!
