About Xerosolar
In the lands of Lunaire, where a palace-city is built across an entire mountain, dragons of all shapes and sizes abound, and magic is cast through any form of art, adventurers of every race, class, gender, identity and background are welcome to stay. New or advanced adventurer? Doesn't matter. Welcome friend, I am lore-seeker Xerosolar, you can call me Xero, or Solar, I don't mind either. I design and run games for true adventurers with a kind heart, I learn the rules so I know how to bend them if my adventurers will have a better time that way, my purpose is for everyone to have a nice, lovely time. I'm fluent in the tongues of English & Spanish, I'm available to play in either. Also, I love learning new games, I've skimmed through a bunch in my lore-seeking endeavors, so if you want to try a game that is not as common, let me know and maybe we can gather some adventurers to play.

I became a GM because
Of my passion for creating games, being a GM allows me to build worlds, monsters, characters, mechanics and ideas, and present them to players through an environment they are comfortable engaging with
My favorite shows/movies are
Frieren, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon, Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Lord of the Rings of course (Also, why is there not a favorite video games question?)
When I'm not running games I'm...
Designing them! I am making my own TTRPG right now with an insane twist to the combat, mixing a different genre of games, making it into nothing I've ever seen in another TTRPG, and I'm excited to test this baby with more players (but balancing is a tough challenge! I have lots of fun though)
How Xerosolar runs games
I enjoy player freedom, letting players have their fun in big and small moments. I like creating custom adventures, especially inspired in video game mechanics or stories, and toying with extra mechanics that make combat more interesting, either with creatures or the environment. I lean more towards exploration and combat, but I won't stop the party if they want to role-play, I like the balance that social encounters bring, so I will provide them even if it's not my biggest strength.

My favorite trope is...
the Ragtag Bunch of Misfits, I like when players create backstories around their characters that make them clash a little bit, but they are (somewhat) united towards this common goal for one reason or another, it creates fun party dynamics yet keeps the plot going
My games focus on...
Escapism, discovery, and dynamism. In downtime, I like the players to have cozy, fun times. When exploring, I like them to find fascinating, weird things that glimpse at the world's past. In combat, I like to deliver exciting challenges on interactable environments both players and foes can use
Rules are...
more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. As long as all the players get to have more fun, why not? Feel free to throw your wild creative ideas at the table!
Xerosolar's ideal table
Whatever the playstyle, just good vibes only, friendly and chill, anyone willing to have a good time and join in jolly cooperation with the rest of the party to face any challenge. Not ideal for Rules-as-Written hardcore players, I respect the playstyle, but I like to add some flexibility for party creativity.

I am for a vibe that's...
Lighthearted, more relaxed and fun. This doesn't mean that the game won't get tough, or the story would be boring, but the best game is one where we're all having a good time.
If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
Video games! And not just RPGs, snatching mechanics and ideas from adventure games, platformers, strategy games, fighting games, survival/sandbox games, etc., and placing them in TTRPGs is one of my favorite things ever
My table is not the place for...
Solo players, metagaming, confrontational with the party, or PvP seekers (although PvP may be provided for plot reasons, i.e. 2 players join an arena tournament and happen to be the finalists). Min-maxing is fine as long you're not purposedly outshining others at the table, be helpful, be nice
