About Heather Silva (Worlds 4 All)
I have been playing TTRPGs for the last decade and facilitating games as a DM/GM/Story Guide for the last 4 years. In 2024, I founded Worlds 4 All LLC, a creative event service specializing in TTRPG facilitation. As a female-identifying, queer Latina, my goal is to host safer, more inclusive gaming spaces where everyone can have fun, build community, and bring their full selves to the table. I utilize a variety of safety tools and actively rework my fantasy storytelling in order to remove harmful tropes rooted in violence, power, and oppression that are too commonly found at other gaming tables.

I became a GM because
it's the perfect intersection of so many of my favorite things: creative writing, performance, storytelling, and having fun in community.
People are always surprised when I tell them
that I actually GM most of my games in-person! I average around 10 in-person paid sessions per month in Massachusetts with my company Worlds 4 All.
When I'm not running games I'm...
tutoring elementary school kids at a local public school or working at a local book and game store!
How Heather Silva (Worlds 4 All) runs games
- A mix of roleplay and combat, though usually more roleplay - Theater of the mind with vivid descriptions - Open-ended questions for players that encourage co-creation of settings and scenarios along with me - Some silly character voices and mannerisms - Discord for voice and video chat (cameras on is optional, though highly encouraged for the sake of community building!) - Owlbear Rodeo or Roll20 for maps - NPC concept and scene art from Pinterest (I do my best to avoid AI!) and/or local artists when possible

My games focus on...
collaborative storytelling, making choices that serve the narrative, and beautiful character-driven moments.
Rules are...
there to help facilitate the fun, but not get in the way of it.
When it comes to voices
I have a soft spot for roleplaying elderly NPCs haha. Also, I have more of a dance background, so I love to embody the spirit of a character in my shoulders and physical mannerisms, not just their voice.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
working together with your fellow players to tell a fun, memorable, and meaningful story
I love it when a player
makes a choice that might surprise even them, but that fully fits what their character would actually do in the moment.
I think metagaming...
can actually be really useful for fully tapping into a character's arc if done respectfully, with above-table consent, and for the purposes of opening up an opportunity for your fellow player rather than trying to cheat or game the system. I'm all about lots of above-table communication!
