About Vex4200
Ahoy Adventurers! I go by Vex (I did it before critical role) and I have been DMing games regularly since 5e came out, though I dabbled infrequently in 4e and 2e. What started the entire saga of the route to being a GM was my interest in fantasy books and stories. I found them captivating, and quickly wanted to become an author and write my own stories; well several creative writing classes and seminars later I found that I was great at making scenes and setting up scenarios, but I could never figure out how to make characters react. I was constantly paralyzed by analysis, thankfully a good friend I met playing other online games pointed out that while I was lousy at making books, that short coming played right into the wheel-house of a GM for D&D (he may have had ulterior motives, but I digress). His suggestion spring boarded years of adventures and I am extremely grateful he brought me into the game.

How Vex4200 runs games
Actively support and encourage roleplay. Proudly mediocre at character voices (but that doesn't stop me). Tactical combat, to me, is an integral part of the game. Monsters tend to be a mix of homebrew and official stat blocks.
