About me
Having grown up in TTRPGs, I have learned the nuts and bolts of what makes a game long-lasting, but I've integrated modern gaming's best improvements. All of my sessions use safety tools and are queer-friendly (if not queer-centric) regardless of the theme or tone, and I am always willing to make accessibility modifications. I enjoy teaching others how to play, and am adept at handling an entire table of newbies for their first foray into tabletop gaming. With more advanced groups, I enjoy genre-mixing and subverting expectations, making me a great pick for more experienced players who are looking for something new from their gaming experience. I integrate props, personalized puzzles, character backstories, and real tidbits of history for sessions that are always custom-made for you.
GM Style
What I love: - Roleplay with consequences, high-tension scenarios which require equal parts meta strategy and in-character choices - Tying in the work my players do on their backstories as tangible questlines for them to explore - Unique combat which is not just number crunching, but uses homebrew elements to add unpredictable elements to fights - Worlds with intriguing lore which explores the themes my players are interested in (love, loss, immortality, technology, etc)

Creativity
Before even playing GM had everyone fill out a questionnaire with really good thought out questions such as what genre's we are interested in, what we are looking for in a campaign, what are the red cards/topics and other questions. They are more than willing to work with everyone on character creation. During games GM is amazing, they balanced a group of several players with no problem, answered all questions without belittling and rewording and clarifying things when needed. After session or game GM asks how everyone felt it went and open to feed back.
I have been hearing about Ty and their games for several years at this point from a couple different players and have recently had the opportunity to play under them for a short period of time. It was intentionally an RP-heavy, non-combat story based in D&D 5e, which can be a difficult playground to structure for RP only, but Ty easily bypassed that difficulty. They took the time to assist the players with learning more about their characters as well as designing parts of the adventure around the characters' and players' interests. My own desires for a game (such as planned character arcs, evolving the narrative based on energy, and easily guiding players to interesting locales and people) were met, and I know the other players were also quite happy with the adventure. I would fully recommend Ty as a GM especially if you're interested in lore and stories.
Ty is the best DM i’ve ever had. They flesh out worlds with incredible detail, yet without overwhelming the players with inconsequential information. Ty’s plots have multiple interwoven threads that allow for countless possibilities when it comes time to “choose your adventure.” Ty is incredibly conscious of player inclusivity and takes extra care to remember everything from player preferences to boundaries. Whether you’re looking for a one-shot adventure or a full-scale multi-chapter quest, Ty never disappoints.
Tessa is overall an incredible GM. They ran a game for 4 beginners who had no experience. They helped us through everything from characters to rules. Their points of narration were awe inspiring. They created such a rich and intense environment and plot for us to navigate. They truly allow you to explore and experience everything at your own pace. I think one of the best parts of their campaign was how inclusive they were. All of our concerns and thoughts were heard extremely well. My mind goes back to a time the players were exploring a trapped museum and we encountered all kinds of puzzles and advanced combat. Tessa is also an incredible roleplayer. We met a myriad of wonderfully created characters with full personalities and lore. I truly don’t think I could have had a better GM.
They are amazing at setting up plots and creating grand worlds. There are certain GMs out there that can drive out some of their players because they care more about their own campaign than their players but Ty is amazing at balancing both their own stories as well as the players’ characters. They like to include every player but also be mindful of what everyone is comfortable with. Great for beginners and seasoned players as well. Ty is a grand time for sure!
Ty is excellent at what they do. I have played campaigns and one-shots run by them (mostly DND 5e, but also some other systems) and each time there was shocking twists in the narrative and fun combat encounters. I am a more chaotic player (role play and some possibly stupid combat choices), but Ty matches my energy and encourages me to try new things. They are very passionate about TTRPG and even made their own system ( a game I'm playing in right now that ROCKS). They pay attention to your backstory and weave in new plots based around your character's arcs. The first game I ever played with them, I filled out a form (provided by Ty) that included what things I was comfortable experiencing in the game, if I had any triggers to avoid and what I expected playing at this table. And I could always update my triggers as the game went on, which Ty did not mock me or say I was being too sensitive about. I feel massively comfortable playing at this table, and I hope to continue to play with Ty as my GM for the rest of my TTRPG life.
