How Tox runs games

"Animated". That's how I tell players to envision our adventures. I favor theater of the mind, but the battle grid comes out for dungeons and complex encounters. Fast paced, balanced combat is a standard in my games, however, the story always comes first. Your (your friends too) backstory matters here, it will inspire entire campaign arcs and guide the vibe. Improv runs heavy at my table as do the laughs. I'm a big brother and it really comes out when I am at the table. I love to help, I love to share, and I love to teach! If you're a new player having trouble getting started, get in touch! I'm here to make starting as simple as possible! Experienced player? Challenge accepted!

In order to balance encounters: I try to keep rules close to system rules, but bendable. Rule of cool always prevails and fun, continuity, and comedy take precedent. Homebrew must be approved.

Now, for the other stuff! Voices? Yes, many, but I will ask you forgive me if the general goods merchant's is a bit generic. Combat? Absolutely and lots of it. I design all of my own dungeons and encounters. Tactical combat and training players in combat are two of my favorite activities! Role-playing? Always encouraged, but only up to ones comfort level.
