About Tiago Luz

I'm Tiago, a 23 years old from Brazil and certified nerd. I love the fantasy and sci-fi genre, worldbuilding and unhealthy amounts of lore. I have contact with the world of TTRPG for about 8 years now, when I played some DnD tables and start to follow creators and projects. I've been playing constantly for about 3 years, manly focused on DnD, but having played some other games. I started DMing about 2 years ago and have running an ongoing campaign with some friends since april 2025.

I became a GM because

I love to build worlds and tell and share stories with others.

How Tiago Luz runs games

My style of DMing focus on bringing a rich world for my players, always looking to tie their characters with the world and making their actions matter in shaping it. I welcome player input and love to build on top of what they give me. I try to stay close to rules as to keep a fair balance, but can bend and homebrew rules to suit players desires. My games tend to be more combat focused, with varied scenarios and enemies, but I have been introducing more roleplay and a more balanced style as my DM skills evolve.

Featured Prompts

Rules are...

there to offer an fair balance, but should not get in the way of fun. If they must be changed or reinterpreted, it shouldn't be an problem.

Tiago Luz's ideal table

My games tend to be roleplay lite and focus in challenging encounters. Generally speaking my games tend to be light hearted and focusing more on having fun. Roleplay is not taken super seriously, but there can be moments where things get more dramatic. For campaigns, I try to understand what my players want from the story and their characters and incorporate that in the game.

Featured Prompts

I love it when a player

brings interesting plans and ideas and is willing to work with me to make them reality.

I think metagaming...

should be avoided. It takes away from the experience and is unfair to other players at the table.

I think min/maxing...

is fine as long is not trying to exploit rules to break the game.
