About Tomás
🎲 I'm Tomás, originally from Argentina, but I have been living in the U.S. for the past three years. I’m passionate about board games, whether through doing everything in my power to win at a strategy game or crafting together a great story on a role-playing game! I discovered TTRPGs years ago in high school with DnD 5e, as I am sure many of us here have, and fell in love instantly with the hobby. Been a #ForeverDM ever since, and have both run and played in many campaigns! I’m here to meet fellow adventurers and investigators to co-create great tales to later tell in the next tavern. Let’s roll some dice and see where the story takes us!

How Tomás runs games
It varies with the system and the group, I reckon, but on a general basis, I'd say I am here to make a good story that makes sense with the general theme of what we're playing, and keep the game going forward. On a DnD/Pathfinder campaign, I am all about the rule of cool and letting characters be the actual heroes/villains they want to be. Do you want to do something crazy that's not exactly stipulated by the rules? We can think of something. If I am playing a Call of Cthulhu campaign... I like the gritty, more serious tones of that system. Investigators should feel helpless from time to time, and I think players also enjoy that for a change. I tend to be more unforgiving, but allow a creative solution nonetheless! I always discuss these issues at a session 0!

I once ran a session...
... or a one-shot, rather, where my players had evil-aligned characters. It was great! We had fun, they got to satiate their evil natures outside of our normal heroic campaigns... And then I introduced those characters as antagonists in the main campaign 😈😈

I love it when a player
thinks outside of the box that is one's character sheet, and tries to use the scene to their advantage. They always get rewarded for creative thinking, which makes for great memories!
I think min/maxing...
... is fun, if everyone is up for the challenge! Otherwise, some people in the table might feel like they are not performing or left behind in important decisions.
