About me
Hail and good day, fellow travelers! My name is DM Mike and I am here to guide you through epic tales, dangerous dungeons, and morally questionable decisions — whether in the depths of the Underdark, the streets of Baldur’s Gate, or the shifting sands of Gamala, my own lovingly-crafted homebrew setting. With over 15 years of D&D experience and 5+ years behind the screen, I specialize in story-driven adventures where character choices shape the world, consequences matter, and the narrative is as important as the combat. Whether you're diving into a published module like Curse of Strahd or exploring an original storyline in one of my custom worlds, you’ll find rich lore, meaningful stakes, and plenty of memorable NPCs along the way. Gamala is a personal favorite—a world of ancient empires, arcane politics, and elemental forces barely kept in balance—but I also love running pre-written campaigns and adapting them to fit the party’s unique style. Every game is tailored to the group, blending immersive storytelling with cinematic encounters and just the right amount of chaos. Expect distinct character voices, high-stakes drama, and a DM who’s part narrator, part improv actor, and part evil wizard (just narratively… probably). Whether you're here for emotional arcs, ridiculous antics, or heroic triumphs, I’ll help make your campaign or one-shot unforgettable. Let’s roll some dice and write a story worth telling.

Michael does an exceptional job building up and telling stories. I’m rather new to D&D (he was the second campaign I had ever played and I was still very unaware of the rules and how it operates) and despite that he was spectacular at adjusting the lore and world to my understanding and preference. But it’s not just about the story—it’s how he makes every player feel seen and involved. He balance drama and humor phenomenally, give everyone their moment to shine, and never railroad the party which I greatly appreciate as a chaotic player. He also has spectacular soundtracks and elaborate maps that he uses to set the atmosphere; playing with Michael is a very immersive experience!
I've been Playing RPG's for about 20 years with many different dm and one of the most important things I find a dm needs to have is the ablity to Balance. Whether its letting players get creatvite without letting it derail the game, or knowing when to bend the rules for narrative and storytelling, or even combat vs story/RP. This is one of the things I've enjoyed the most playing in Michael's game. His is a master at Balance. Our game has a rich Culture and world, which has been great to explore with fun NPC w/ great voices. Our adventure felt like they made a difference in the world and consquence for our action both good and bad follow us. I love how little details we would mention or things we did would come back later on even if it was just a cameo of an old character. He is also really good at working with you to make a character that plays to your sense of adventure and intrigue. Michael has a great eye for details from maps and notes to music and soundscapes and even does a great job of weaving your background into the game really making it feel like your telling a story together. I've had a lot of fun slowly discovering the mystery in my backstory and cant wait to see how it connects to larger world.
