About Thalgrim

I started playing DnD when I was in the military. After reading through the DMG i wanted to run my own game and asked my friends if I could run a 1 shot while our GM was out of town. everyone was in for it and when my one shot was over everyone had had so much fun they asked me to keep running games for them. Since then I have become the forever GM for many different groups and played both homebrew and premade modules, and I would love to help spread this passion of mine.

How Thalgrim runs games

I like to play more roleplay heavy games but i try to have 1 combat a session. I will occasiony try voices but I am not much of a voice actor so dont feel the need to come up with voices for your characters. If you do though that is encuraged.

I deal with rules issues by...

looking the rules up myself, deligating that search to someone who volunteers so we can stay on task and come back when needed, or make a rulling and look it up later and possibly retcon as needed.

Thalgrim's ideal table

i like a table that wants to come together to tell a cool story. i want a group who can band together and conqure anything because they worked with eachothers streingths and made up for each others weaknesses. i want flawed people to help rid the world of evil

I love it when a player

roles their character to have flaws. or celebrates when a role doesnt go their way. because ive found that is where the great story telling comes from

I think metagaming...

will happen but as long as we try to see things from our PC's perspective it can be mitigated. but it isnt always a bad thing. if your character doesnt know he just walked into danger but you as a player know it for a fact it creates such good tension
