About Zensys
Hey! I'm a narrative-focused GM with a background in D&D 5E and Pathfinder 2E, and a lifelong passion for storytelling, worldbuilding, and the kind of games that stick with you long after the session ends. My roots are in writing and video game RPGs — the kind with rich lore, morally grey characters, and worlds that feel genuinely alive — and I try to bring that same energy to the table. I run games that lead with story. That means deep lore, characters with real motivations, mysteries worth chasing, and moments that land emotionally — but I don't shy away from tactical, satisfying combat when the situation calls for it. My table is a place where your choices matter, the world reacts to what you do, and no two sessions feel quite the same. LGBTQ+ people are more than welcome at my table.

I got started GMing...
...because I've been building worlds in my head for years. I guess I ran out of excuses not to share them. I started with Dungeons & Dragons (3.5) back in the day, and evolved to 5th edition, before I fell in love with the system Paizo built with Pathfinder 2nd edition.
My favorite books are
... The Xanth series of novels by Piers Anthony will always hold a place in my heart as some of the first "real" books I read growing up. House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski is another absolute favorite of mine, though in a much different vein.
How Zensys runs games
I run a collaborative, narrative-focused game where player creativity is always rewarded. I know the rules well enough to know when to bend them — if something makes for a better story or a more memorable moment, I'll back it. My table is explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly, and I'm committed to making sure every player feels safe, seen, and excited to show up. I have a deep love for roleplay — the quiet moments between fights, the conversations that reveal who your character really is, the decisions that nobody saw coming. I lean into horror motifs when the story calls for it; not gore for its own sake, but the kind of dread that builds slowly and means something. And after every session I've ever run, players have found a way to surprise me. I've stopped trying to predict it. I just make sure the world is ready to react.

Rules are...
...a framework, not a cage. I know Pathfinder 2E well enough to run it cleanly, but I'll never let a rulebook get in the way of a genuinely great moment. The rules exist to create fun — when they do, I follow them. When they don't, I use my judgment.
When it comes to voices
... I'll admit to not being the best at having a different voice for each character.
Zensys's ideal table
This is a table built around story first. If you love piecing together clues, getting lost in a conversation with an NPC, and feeling the weight of a world that has real history and real stakes, you'll fit right in here. Combat exists and matters — but it serves the story, not the other way around. You'll love this table if you: Enjoy unraveling a mystery that slowly grows into something much bigger than expected Like building a character with a real personality, not just a stat block Are happy to share the spotlight and invest in other players' stories as much as your own Can commit to a biweekly schedule and communicate when life gets in the way This might not be the table for you if you: Prefer pure dungeon-crawling or optimized combat encounters Prefer to play solo or aren't interested in collaborative storytelling Aren't comfortable with darker story themes handled in a thoughtful, mature way All experience levels are welcome. If you've never touched Pathfinder 2e before, we'll get you sorted. What matters far more than system knowledge is the kind of player you are at the table.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
Deep roleplay, moral ambiguity, and diving into lore
I love it when a player
comes up with a creative, out-of-the-box solution to a problem.
I think min/maxing...
... has a time and place, but it's really not my style. I want to enjoy, live in, and create a world and characters to immerse myself and the party within.
