About Szelva
As a SAG-Atra actress, living stories has always been a penchant of mine. Frequently entrenched in some creative outlet or another, my slip into the world of Dungeons and Dragons was unsurprising, but far more rewarding than I could have anticipated...which is a fancy way of saying I'm addicted now. I love collaborative storytelling, and this game is exactly that. As a GM, I want to pull you in. I want your choices to matter, and I want your character to help shape the world they are a part of. Plot your party's course. I'm here for every surprising, tragic, beautiful, dirty detail.

I became a GM because
I fell into the age old trap- couldn't find a table, so I decided to start one. Been a GM ever since.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Costuming. Prop making for Universities. Running. Gaming. Acting. Reading. Also walking my very cute, but out of shape pug. Adding to my unnecessary dice collection. Sane things along that vein...
How Szelva runs games
As a GM, my primary focus is on player engagement and enjoyment. My aim is to weave a tangible, inclusive world and narrative that allows your characters to drive the story, and I aim to be your biggest cheerleader. To facilitate this, my games will be roleplay heavy- without purpose, combat and interactions can fall flat and boredom tends to root if you don't find yourself, or your character, invested. Backstories will matter. Combat will be challenging. Generally rules light for narrative bits, but serious when its showtime. Player creativity is highly encouraged. I love when you guys surprise me. My games are well prepped, my accents and character voices fully, and hilariously, committed, and our table is itching for that healthy dose of beautiful chaos. All that's missing is you.

I prep by
Listening to music. Connecting with pieces that fit the atmosphere and mood of what's happening at the table. Looking over my notes and realizing you guys will probably do the opposite of the things I've prepped for you.
Rules are...
Important, but flexible based on circumstances. I'm generally rules light for narrative purposes, but get more serious about things when its showtime.
When it comes to voices
I commit, 100%. Often times to my detriment, but I make no apologies.
Szelva's ideal table
Featured Prompts
I am for a vibe that's...
Immersive, chill, and riddled with humor. I want everyone at my table to feel like they're playing with a group of their closest friends.
I love it when a player
Surprises me. Has a sense of humor. Is invested in the story. Takes player agency and runs with it.
