About Steve

Hey there! I’m Steve (he/him) — actor, writer, arts educator, and full-time enthusiast for all things storytelling. When I’m not on stage, on set, or in the classroom, you’ll find me building worlds, voicing wild NPCs, and helping players tell the kinds of stories you remember for years. My background as a professional actor (SAG-AFTRA/AEA) and theater educator means I know how to bring characters to life, keep a group engaged, and make sure everyone gets their "main character moment." Whether you're brand new to TTRPGs or a seasoned dice slinger, I’m here to make sure you feel confident, creative, and part of the story from the jump. What You Can Expect at My Table: -Big character energy, memorable voices, and lots of improv -A no-pressure, "there are no wrong answers" environment -Rules explained without making it feel like homework -A focus on collaboration, creativity, and actually having fun -Flexibility to match your group's preferred vibe and playstyle -Smooth, easy-to-use Virtual Tabletop (VTT) setup If you like story-driven adventures with heart, humor, and a touch of chaos, you’re in the right place. Let’s roll some dice and tell some unforgettable stories together!

I got started GMing...

with a published module upon which I built and developed. That home game is going seven and a half years strong!

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be

5e (the classic), Lancer (maximum crunch!), Kids on Bikes (easy entry point to bribe my rescuers).

When I'm not running games I'm...

occasionally seen on your television, on stage in Los Angeles performing with just a little too much chutzpah, heard in your US localized content, and found in the backgrounds of grainy photos recently marked "declassified."

How Steve runs games

My style is heavily informed by character, story, and player preference. As an actor and improvisor, I bring a wealth of character voices and the ability to create multidimensional NPCs on the fly. I'm deeply knowledgeable regarding the rules of the systems, but only so I can confidently adjudicate my player's wild pitches quickly. I'm a huge fan of having players tell me what they hope to achieve, then laying out what means by which they can attempt it. Rule of Cool is the way to go nine times out of ten. I am always clear about instances where we're bending a rule for fun this time, or when we're establishing a new mechanics precedent. I'm super flexible on tone and content, with a heavy emphasis on establishing and honoring player boundaries. My home games tend to alternate between goofy and dramatically tense, as the particular session warrants. I only run VTT's for combat, dungeon crawls, or to show a regional map. Overland exploration and social interactions are left to theater of the mind.
