About StellarZynova
I've been playing tabletop games almost my whole life in varying capacities, however I only picked up DND in high school during my freshman year. I was taught most of what I know today from my DM at the time. My junior year is when I picked up the curse of being a GM since then I've been running games on and off depending on the availability of my friends. Now I'm looking to improve upon my skills as a GM by running more games for more people, possibly making a few friends along the way while enjoying the hobby we all love to immerse ourselves in. I may have 5 years of experience as a GM but I always have room to improve and I'm looking to improve with every session I host.

My favorite books are
My favorite Modules - Tyranny of Dragons (First campaign I ever played and ran) - Tomb of Annihilation - Wild Beyond the Witchlight (Favorite campaign I've DMed) - Dungeon of the Mad Mage - Out of the Abyss Most of the DMing I've done is with custom worlds, normally set within The Forgotten Realms.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Creative- Imaginative and flexible, able to adapt to any situation the party creates. Collaborative- Invites player agency that has long lasting effects on the story and world around them. Works to make any character possible. Storyteller- Great ability to play NPC's and make the world feel alive.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Normally playing games, reading. A lot of my creativity comes from my vast experience spending long nights immersing myself within fantasy worlds, either through DND books, Video game lore, or even Manhwa/Manga. Occasionally, I'll start writing my own settings or worlds within The Forgotten Realms.
How StellarZynova runs games
I'm relatively a jack of all trades; however, I have more experience in heavy roleplay and sandbox settings. Player agency is the main aspect of my style of GMing, I like to have as few restrictions as possible to the way you decide to play, including in character customization. I've even occasionally homebrewed mechanics for characters that want to fill a certain niche, I'll always help players with their backstories if they ask. I excel at tailoring stories built around the player, making the world feel alive around them separate yet malleable to your presence and actions. Every action you take will create a reaction, whether its small or large.

I deal with rules issues by...
Quickly assessing whether I'm at fault with my nearby cheat sheet. If I am incorrectly applying rules I fix the issue then. If I'm right but the party prefers the rules be interpreted differently, I will discuss it with them after the session. However, that doesn't necessitate the rules will change.
Rules are...
My Non-Negotiable Rules: - GM's rule is final - Read the party contract (IMPORTANT) - Respect the table (Players/DM) - Player/Character knowledge is separate - Do not be destructive to the party - Both PLAYERS must consent to PVP - The world changes around YOU - Actions change alignments (Over time)
When it comes to voices
I feel that I'm not the best. Though I always try to make important NPCs have voices that match their personalities and stature. Every session I strive to improve, and I always take feedback with an open mind and a yearning for progress. I won't blow you away, though I'm certain I won't disappoint.
StellarZynova's ideal table
My session Zeros are a requirement to attend; they make sure that comfortability and party compatibility will be of little problem early on letting us focus on the campaign ahead. I encourage you to remain respectful towards other players even if your characters have disagreements with each other. I'm not adverse to party conflict as long as it is engaging and fun for everyone involved. I always want people to have fun at my table, in an effort to improve at the end of every session I ask for Highlights and lowlights. Constructive criticism on what you'd like to see or what I need to improve upon and what you think I did well, and you enjoyed seeing. I enjoy seeing players come up with wacky, clever, or sometimes just plain stupid ideas that bring a whole new flavor of life to the game. I am quite accustomed to players trying to give me migraines with ludicrous plans or well-made characters that can sometimes make balancing a nightmare yet that is what I like. It keeps me on my feet, improves my skills and has forced me to use my imagination to get the party on at least part of a track.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
Character development. Player agency starts before the first session, as part of that emphasis I make sure every player has a character they are ecstatic to play. However, that's just the characters beginning as the story progresses you will mold the world, and the world will mold you along with it.
I love it when a player
Is creative, interactive, explorative. I'm a DM who puts a heavy emphasis on player agency, I very rarely restrict the actions of the players at my table. The world is yours to explore and tame as long as you can deal with the world fighting back and changing with your presence, so are you prepared?
My table is not the place for...
Main characters, I'm fine with the party collectively deciding on a party mascot or voice but I want every player at my table to have a chance in the spotlight. Every TTRPG is built on collaboration between a group of players and the GM, so my table will always have multiple stories for each player.
