Hey what's up I am Isaiah! I have been playing tabletop rpgs since I was 14 years old, Im now 30!!! Jeez that's old. I love to gm games and play games with anyone and everyone so I figured I would join this site and do what I love a little more. A little bout me is I am a stand-up comedian and make occasional youtube videos and just do all the creative outlets that I wanted to do when I was a kid. As for my gming style Role-play heavy combat-lite love to just build stories and have a good time. Lgbtq friendly and if you could not tell Neurodivergent AF!!!!!! How isaiah burns runs games

I think if I had to put my gaming style into words it would be the fact that I prefer to follow the rules cool over the rules of the game for the betterment of my players I love role play and storytelling and getting into character and the acting side of things as I'm a stand up comedian and a performer myself More than I enjoy combat and I'm very improv heavy as a storyteller you quickly adapt the story around you and not the other way around to make sure that your actions have lasting consequences and your actions feel like they have meaning. At the end of the day all I really care about when I GM is that we all have fun in a safe reasonable and enjoyable way as this is a game and not away the nickel and dime a fun experience out of each other.

I deal with rules issues by...

connecting with the party to make sure that is how everyone understood the rule. I am able to be wrong :) if the party is split on how something is understood to work. I will take the final say as the dm to keep the game moving.

My games focus on...

The story and the character more than anything else. I love roleplaying more than anything so if you love getting into the world and characters and building stories then im your guy. Love the collaborative story telling that this media lets us do.

Rules are...

the guide for the game but can be bent a little to make sure the story goes in a way that everyone enjoys. I enjoy the rule of cool for all players and Ill bend the rules if it helps everyone but won't if it only benefits one player cause then the other players don't get to feel cool.

All I want when you sit at my table is for us to build a fantastic story with each other and have fun. This is a game and we are here to play it. I am a narrative focused dm with a focus on roleplay and interacting in your character that has combat add to that aspect. My roleplay to combat ratio would be around 60/40. I like the rule of cool more than all to make sure you all have fun but understand that to build a good story there has to be conflict and tragedy. If that sounds fun come take a seat at my table and lets play some ttrpgs.

Roleplaying, getting into character and lost into a world. being able to have hours long convo's while in your character if you want or have a fun fight that has real consequences to your character each moment along the way then sit at my table and have a blast.

Don't let other players enjoy the game as well. Everyone should have their time to shine. It is one of the only things you can do at my table besides being hateful that will make me have to let you know, hey chill let your peers shine too. you don't need to be the main character.
