About Bard

Greetings, adventurers! I'm Bard, and it's a pleasure to meet you! TTRPGs have been my passion for nearly a decade. I began as a storyteller, but found my true calling in game mastering and haven’t looked back since. Over the past 8 years, I’ve crafted immersive worlds and run countless adventures, with experience in D&D 5e, Zweihander, and even my own TTRPG in development. I specialize in weaving deep, character-driven stories where your decisions matter. Roleplay is at the heart of every session, with combat serving as key narrative beats rather than just encounters. Whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to TTRPGs, if you love immersive roleplay, rich narratives, and choices that leave a lasting impact, my games are for you. If you're looking for a game filled with compelling storytelling, memorable characters, and meaningful choices, look no further, I’d love to be your GM. Adventure awaits!

I got started GMing...

In Highschool. I formed the D&D club for my class and ended up as the "Forever DM". I certainly wouldn't have it any other way.

My favorite system of all Time is

easily Zweihander. I've always been a sucker for dark and gritty settings, and while some of the mechanics in Zweihander can be a bit roll heavy, I love the way the dice actively seem to shape the world.

When I'm not running games I'm...

either preparing for my next one, playing videogames, or writing for some of my own personal projects.

How Bard runs games

I typically run things by the book, but I'm certainly not afraid to bend the rules a little if it suits the needs of the table. Expect a strong focus on character-driven storytelling, immersive worldbuilding, and meaningful player choices. Your decisions will shape the narrative, and every session will be a chance to develop your character in new ways. Roleplay: Heavily encouraged. My worlds are alive with compelling NPCs, each with their agendas, personalities, and secrets. Whether through deep conversations, tense negotiations, or quiet character moments, roleplay is at the heart of every game. Exploration: My settings are built with depth and mystery. From sprawling cities to forgotten ruins, every location holds secrets waiting to be uncovered. If you can think of it, you can pursue it—your curiosity will be rewarded. Combat: Narratively driven and impactful. Battles are not just obstacles; they are turning points in the story. Whether a desperate last stand or a duel of ideologies, combat is designed to challenge both your tactics and your character’s motivations. Run in blind, and you might find the consequences greater than you anticipated.

I prep by

listening to a specially curated playlist for the campaign while I write. It helps me get into the proper mood of the campaign.

Rules are...

important, but if a certain rule gets in the way of fun, I certainly don't mind bending or breaking them.

When it comes to voices

I try to get each character to sound audibly different for ease of conversing, sadly feminine voices are my Achilles heel, but bear with me.

Bard's ideal table

At my table, story always comes first. I want you to feel like you’re not just playing a character, but living one. My games are equal parts laughter and heartbreak, lighthearted mischief and deep emotional beats. We’ll explore worlds full of wonder, danger, and mystery. Places that are beautiful, terrifying, and sometimes both at once. The players who thrive at my table are the ones who lean in. You don’t need to be a performer, but you should be excited to roleplay, make choices, and let your character breathe and grow. If you enjoy connecting with the party, investing in the story, and occasionally getting swept away by big dramatic moments, you’ll fit right in. The vibe? Think collaborative, welcoming, and a little bit theatrical. I keep the space safe, inclusive, and encouraging so everyone feels comfortable being vulnerable in character, but I also make sure there’s plenty of humor, banter, and memorable shenanigans. My goal is that by the end of a session, you’ll leave the table buzzing with the feeling that something unforgettable just happened.

I am for a vibe that's...

relaxed and fun loving. I think the roleplay should be taken a bit seriously, but if everything is too serious everything seems to get a little stiff. Comfort is the #1 priority.

I love it when a player

talks me through their backstory. The more I understand your backstory, the more I can include in my games, so go ahead, talk away.

I think min/maxing...

I'm not a huge fan of min-maxing. While it's a completely valid way to play the games, I personally think it can hamper roleplay. It's good to fail sometimes, it helps a character grow. I like to tell stories, not power fantasies.
