I got started GMing...
really early. After my first game of 5e, I had a ton of ideas blowing around in my head and I really wanted to do a homebrew. It was a learning experience, but I learned how much I loved being behind the screen. A decade later and I'm still pouring hours into my next homebrew.

I think over the time I've been a GM, a lot of my former players would describe me as adaptable, creative, and patient. I love creating interactive scenes and theater of the mind settings to add to and enhance the player experience beyond the map lines.
How Eric runs games
My tables are very beginner friendly and lean towards RP elements. Combat is generally threatening and encourages attention to adequate preparation. I love to give depth to the NPCs whether they are pre-written or handcrafted and love when players organize their characters around a backstory I can play around with.
Eric's ideal table
I'd love a table full of people that care and invest in their character. You don't need to be an expert, but there is a difference in how someone plays with and without any attachment to their character. It reflects in the combat and roleplay.

I love it when a player
Asks me if they can do something creative or out of the box. I like to remind players that if their action isn't explicitly laid out in the rules, I can come up with some qualifier for the action itself appropriate to the situation. Creative solutions are the best solutions.
