About Sherri
Have you ever been talking with a group of friends who all wanted to do something but no one was willing to organize it, so you went what the heck, guess I'll do it? That's how my GMing started, and it's been pretty good considering it's been six years and I'm still doing it! I have a background in theatre and written roleplaying, so I'm not stranger to over the top antics! I run roleplay heavy games, but I also like to spring combats in places you might not expect them. What can I say? I have a bit of that chaotic fey energy. Everyone is welcome at my table, and I hope to see you there!

My favorite shows/movies are
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ever After, Galavant, High Potential, Helluva Boss, Hikaru no Go, Card Captor Sakura, and X-men 1997.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
chaotic, dramatic, and gay.
When I'm not running games I'm...
knitting/crocheting/embroidering, playing with my kid, watching gay TV, reading gay books, or journal rping. I live a pretty boring life, but ti works for me!
How Sherri runs games
As a GM, I do a little bit of everything, but the kinds of things you can generally expect at my table are: ✨ Roleplay heavy narratives ✨ Horror/Body Horror elements ✨ Rule of Cool ✨ Challenging puzzles ✨ Multi-faceted 'boss' encounters ✨ PC-centered stories and/or plots ✨ Weird Fey Shenanigans

I once ran a session...
that was supposed to be a one shot, but then panicked and created a random mythos that if you hit a mermaid with a fish, you'd get a Wish. The table was so intrigued, it turned into another few sessions, which then turned into my first full-blown homebrew campaign. Whoops.
My favorite trope is...
hot villains. I know, it's basic, but I love a hot villain.
Rules are...
suggestions. At the end of the day, we're here to have fun, and while there are definitely rules that I abide by, most things are negotiable with a good enough argument (and if it won't break the game).

I love it when a player
outsmarts me. Figure out my twist beforehand? Beautiful. Find a way to truncate what should be a long, difficult battle? Outstanding. Talk the adversarial NPC into being on your side despite it supposedly being impossible? Flawless.
I think it's a red flag when players...
aren't collaborative and are unnecessarily adversarial with the party. This is a collaborative game, and if you can't play nicely, maybe it isn't the right game for you.
My table is not the place for...
racists, homophobes, transphobes, ableists, people who can't roll with the punches, and people who need things to be exactly the way that the rules say they should be.
