About Shanna
Hi! I'm Shanna. I'm from Argentina, I'm 24 years old. I've been a GM consistently for 8 years now. I started with D&D 4e, then jumped to 5e, where I stayed for most of my time as a GM. Over time I've been a GM for other systems like City of Mist and Vampire the Masquerade. Although my experience is mostly with D&D, I find my passion in lesser known, more indie rpgs. RPGs like CAIN and Ten Candles being some of my favorites. If you want to play niche-indie TTRPGs from itch.io, I'm your girl. I do not use AI in any way, and don't endorse the use of it either. Any visual or written content used at my table comes from me or other real human artists.

I got started GMing...
Because I really wanted to play ttrpgs but couldn't find any group in my hometown that was lbtq+ safe. So I read the books and convinced a bunch of friends to follow me down this crazy rabbit hole, and now I'm here!
My favorite system of all Time is
Powered by the Apocalypse, if it counts as a system. I love its versatility and the flexibility it has for telling different stories. I love that it provides a framework for storytelling, rather than try to be a simulation.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Character-focused Flexible Fair (I asked my players)
How Shanna runs games
I enjoy campaigns that are more narrative, with a focus on player characters and their interactions with the world around them. Often my campaigns will have a big cast of characters for the players to choose allies and adversaries. My approach is always to focus first on the stories the players at the table want to tell, and help them tell those stories. I ask players what their character's goal is, and then I prep around that goal. I love roleplay, social encounters, and exploration. You shouldn't expect tactical combat from me, but I always try to give meaning to combat encounters. I avoid combat for the sake of combat. If you like roleplay, if you want your backstory coming back to haunt you, you'll fit right in.

I deal with rules issues by...
Trying to find an option that's fun for everyone at the table, noting it down, then checking the actual ruling after the session.
My games focus on...
The player characters. Their goals, their ambitions, their bonds, flaws and personalities. Most importantly, their agency, I strive to give meaningful consequences to all actions the players take.
When it comes to voices
I love doing voices. I'm not a professional voice actor, but I'm trained in classical theater, so you can expect a lot of different silly and not so silly voices.
Shanna's ideal table
My table will always be a fun, safe and inclusive place. Everyone's encouraged to get really into character, do voices, act, be dramatic, be funny, and just play around. My only ask is for players to be respectful of each other. I try to be as immersive as possible, crafting scenes where players can get easily into character, and roleplay as much as they want.

I love it when a player
Has a backstory full of stuff that I can bring into the table, or a character with clear goals, ideals, flaws or fears I can play into.
I think metagaming...
Is something that's gonna happen in every game eventually. I don't mind it much as long as it's not intentional, or doesn't break immersion.
My table is not the place for...
Min-maxing, rules-lawyering, tactical combat.
