About Samuel
I have been a long time GM for many years and have lead multiple gaming groups for a variety of TTRPGs focusing on Dungeons and Dragons and Vampire the Masquerade. I enjoy running a game with a good mix of heavy roleplay and combat involved; allowing everyone to fully engage in the system we are in.

I got started GMing...
I started my GMing career battling every DnD parties arch nemesis scheduling. My group back then had not ran a game in months, and I was itching to play or even interact with the game. That's when I discovered the world of actual plays and became invested in learning the rules myself.
My favorite shows/movies are
I am a huge lover of the super hero and fantasy genre. TV shows like the Peacemaker, Game of Thrones and Invincible are some of my favorites in recent years. In terms of movies I cast a wide net from thrillers to horror to fantasy and everything in between.
People are always surprised when I tell them
I have Dm'd multiple games with different tables. Which is understandable since it is so difficult to get people together. However, I feel creating a strong, welcoming and encouraging environment will always have players wanting to return to your table.
How Samuel runs games
My GMing style is a balance of roleplay, narrative and combat driven gameplay. Focused on empowering my players and building a team dynamic. I do this by paying close attention to character backstories and integrating it into the games we play together (when I'm able) to create memorable moments at the table.
Samuel's ideal table
I love a party that roleplays and stays in character throughout the session. It can be hard to do with new people and strangers, but if we all collectively commit it can create something magical. Which I believe starts with a GM that isn't afraid to roleplay and do goofy voices and actions for their players.
