About Nikolai
Well hi there! I’ve been a lifelong lover of everything fantasy: from the grit of urban fantasy to classics of the Tolkien era. I have GM’d for the past 6 years now but started learning DND when I was a kid reading my dad’s old 3.5 era books. Honestly I want to spread my love of this hobby to others of all experience levels and really just show folks what ttrpg’s have to offer.

How Nikolai runs games
As a GM there are a few things I prioritize: I set ground rules via a session zero and I expect players to engage and discuss what will and will not be allowed at the table. My games tend to lean more heavily into RP, social interaction, and intrigue. I enjoy designing engaging combats but it is not my priority, as story and exploration come first in my game design. I try to be as respectful of players and their time, and expect the same.
