I've been playing and GMing TTRPG games for 9 years, with a focus on Starfinder 1e, Pathfinder 1e, and DnD 5e 2014 rules. Nothing makes me happier than working with new players who want to find a new way to express their creativity and explore a new system in the games and settings I enjoy. Through StartPlaying, I hope to reach a new wave of new players looking to become their other self in another world!

I got started GMing...
I started GMing around 2019 when I started running Pathfinder and Starfinder for my friends! I found I had a great knack and memory for rules, people, mechanics, and lore, and I have only ever wanted to expound on that. I hope to keep doing it into the future!
My favorite system of all Time is
My favorite system has always been the Pathfinder system. I enjoy complexity, and focused character building that only Pathfinder and by extension Starfinder has given me in a satisfying way. I hope to some day get into Traveller as well!
When I'm not running games I'm...
When I'm not running games...I'm playing them! I love video games, especially FFXIV, Stellaris, X4, Baldurs Gate, Wrath of the Righteous, Rogue Trader, and so on. Owlcat are my current super stars!
How Robert runs games
I like to work with new players mostly, but also enjoy working with experienced veterans so long as they respect others lack of knowledge when starting a brand new game. I encourage and reward creativity and do my best to keep things on track while making sure to remember it is a social, storytelling game where memories are made. You can expect a lot of informed, lore-friendly, and open minded gameplay from me.
Robert's ideal table
I enjoy medium to mature themes in my games and don't mind a bit of edge, I generally like to make sure everyone is on board with this prior to starting a campaign, and, especially with new players, I like to help foster a good table mentality in order to make sure they fit in with other players, even if they play characters very different from there.

Uses creative solutions! I love the rule of cool, and outside the box thinking. Always try to see if that little thing in the back of your head is possible, because a GM like me will try to make it work!
I think metagaming...
Is fine, especially for newer players, but the more experienced you get, the less it should be used as eventually you need to make your own decisions at the table. Everyone moves at different speeds!
My perfect party mix is
I like having everyone be a different class! While I can see the hilarity of a statement like "4 barbarians meet in a bar", I think the best story comes when each players contributes something unique to the party and gets their moments.
