About Robin
Hi there! I’m Robin, and I’ve been running Dungeons & Dragons games since 2015. That year, I first discovered TTRPGs and instantly fell in love with the hobby. It quickly became a creative calling: building worlds, guiding adventurers, and crafting stories that leave lasting impressions on people. I care most about creating experiences that feel alive and emotionally grounded. I want players to feel immersed in the story; this means they make meaningful choices and form real connections. My bachelor's in anthropology, paired with my love for worldbuilding, has given me the tools to create detailed, unique, and memorable cultures and societies for my own campaign settings. Whether the tone leans toward epic, tragic, or lighthearted, my focus is always on immersion, character-driven storytelling, and building a table where everyone feels safe and excited to roleplay. Over the years, I’ve run games for a wide range of players and personalities, and I’ve learned that the best sessions come from trust and communication. I love adapting to different playstyles and weaving each player’s imagination into the adventure. If you’re looking for a game that values story, character, and genuine collaboration, I'd love to see you at my table. The adventure’s waiting, and there’s always room for one more!

I became a GM because
Honestly, back in high school, I didn't like how my friend was GMing for us. But, when I tried it out for myself, I was hooked instantly! I quickly discovered that I loved being a GM more than being a player. and I try my best to let that love I have for the game pour into all of my sessions.
My favorite system of all Time is
5E D&D! I find that its framework lets me create mechanics that fit my player's adventures and encourages creativity. What got me into the hobby was 4E, which I love for its emphasis on tactical expression. I have a soft spot for dramatic combat :3 I also love to try other systems when I can!
When I'm not running games I'm...
At the gym or playing video games! The gym is a third place to me. A good workout leaves me feeling great physically and mentally! I also love video games, like The Legend of Zelda or Fire Emblem series. They're definitely where my love for world building and tactical combat comes from.
How Robin runs games
As a Game Master, my priority is creating a fun and inviting experience for both dramatic and engaged roleplay and intense combat scenarios that immerses the players in the drama. In terms of roleplay, I do voices for NPCs in all of my adventures. I try my best to keep my voices interesting, whether that be funny or menacing. I have a large range of voice that I like to use and I've been told I'm pretty good at it. Additionally, I like to roll all of my combat rolls publicly for my players to see. I find that by doing this, it ensures that everyone at my table understands I can never fudge any dice rolls for them or against, and this tends to dramatically raise the tension during most of my combat encounters. I know this might seem unorthodox, but trust me! Don't knock it until you try it! I love letting my players' creativity impact the pace and direction of the adventure. It never bothers me when the party decides to investigate a side quest that I had never even imagined needing to prepare for, even when running module games, because it's exciting and fun for me! I always see these moments as great opportunities for using my improv and quick thinking skills to provide my players with a unique and memorable narrative.

I deal with rules issues by...
Trying to look for a quick answer in the PHB that works. If not, I usually just give it to the players and think about it more afterwards. I try to keep my sessions smooth and fun! :D
I prep by
Writing a recap of a session right after it ends! It sounds counter-intuitive, but this helps me (and my players) get a detailed summary of everything that just happened. When I begin to draft encounters and scenarios for the next session, the recap lets ideas come to me naturally.
My favorite trope is...
Starting in a tavern! I love to quote Matt Colville on his idea that "a tavern is a microcosm of the world." I think that a tavern, like any real bar, is full of people, interactions, and behavior that reflects the world it belongs in. It's a fantastic place to introduce an adventure's setting.
Robin's ideal table
My ideal table is full of players that are respectful and engaged. People that appreciate highly tactical games and immersive aids, such as battlemaps, music, and character voices are a perfect fit for my table! I do everything I can to create a satisfying, immersive, and respectful table for my players by putting their experience first.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
Tactical combat scenarios, detailed world building, and dramatic RP! I find that the detail and creativity needed to create unique, difficult, and balanced combat is often overlooked and one of my favorite aspects of GMing. It's a huge part of my love for creating immersive and fun experiences.
I think min/maxing...
Is totally fine, as long as every other player in the party also thinks that it's fine. One player being noticeably more powerful than the rest doesn't bother me, whether it be balancing or in RP.
My table is not the place for...
Bigotry of any kind!!! I want to keep my sessions a safe space for all of my players, which includes asking them for any triggers they have and making sure that everyone is treated with respect :) If any of my players were being a bigot, I wouldn't hesitate to remove them from the game.
