About Raulzito2112
My name is Raul, I'm a GM from Brazil. I've been playing TTRPG since 1999, so I have plenty of experience in many games and genres. I've played many editions of D&D, a lot of Vampire the Masquerade (wich were huge in Brazil back when I started) and many other titles. Nowadays I find my preferences in horror titles (including Kult, Vampire and games inspired in Cthulhu Mythos) and the OSR movement (including my favourite of all time, a brazilian game Called Old Dragon). I enjoy mostly the "Roleplaying" part of RPG and I like to build stories where the players can feel like they're a part of the world, the characters and NPCs become deep and well developed and the story builds up to a cathartic experience. Also, I have some experience streaming and I have some published material, both in portuguese.

I got started GMing...
basically, because I bought the books. But it's a role I play with passion, for it allows me to express my creativity and it challenges me at the sema time, for I never know what paths the story will take.
My favorite system of all Time is
My two favourite systems are opposite poles in terms of game design: Old Dragon, a brazilian d20 OSR, and Kult Divinity Lost, a horror PbtA.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Painting, writing, making music or training martial arts.
How Raulzito2112 runs games
I like political plots focused on roleplay with a lot of space for the players to build connections and develop the personal journey of their characters. Also, I like the action to be short, intense and dangerous.

I prep by
My favourite prepping method is called "something is happening and the players get there". I think of what everyone else is doing, so each NPC can react to the PCs crazy ideas. To me, that's the perfect method because it gives me freedom to improvise and makes the world feel alive.
My games focus on...
Political plots, intrigue, survival and making the playres part of a world that feels alive.
Rules are...
A toolbox to tell better stories. Each rule is a tool. Some are better for some situations, some for other, some might surprise you with all the different functions they have and some were designed with something in mind but don't really work.
Raulzito2112's ideal table
I like to make the fiction tense for the characters, but relaxed and welcoming for the players. I don't mind jokes during the game as long as they don't interfere with the fiction (like characters with funny names). Also, neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC and others are welcome!

I love it when a player
Takes risks that are not optimal. As I usually say: "bad decisions make great stories".
I think it's a red flag when players...
Don't accept "losing". Players that act like that always end up revealing themselve annoying narcissistic people with no respect for others.
I think metagaming...
Is somewhat unavoidable. But I prefer when the metagaming is used to tell good stories and make good narrative decisions instead of when players try to take advantage of it.
