About Ran Zerlin
Hey! I'm Ran! a DM and writer who's been directing DnD 5e for over 7 years. My campaigns tend to be a 70/30 split between roleplaying and combat, usually I prefer rather light-hearted campaigns, with a relaxed atmosphere to encourage fun interactions and roleplaying I tend to focus on music and acting, and I like making complex storylines and combat arenas with lots of things going on in the background for the players to have lots of interactions. Among my works is the cyberpunk DnD setting called Dark Future, the Lost Mine of Phandelver total overhaul called The Black Spider Ascendant, numerous DnD subclasses such as the Path of the Tindalos Hound, and more. I've been almost exclusively a PnP IRL DM and I'm looking to transition to online DMing. Looking forward to DMing for you!

How Ran Zerlin runs games
I focus on roleplaying and character interaction, as well as complex and involved storylines to give the players tons of ways to solve problems and develop interactions. I also tend to make them full of twists, political maneuvering, intrigue and a little detective work I pay a massive amount of attention to the music in my scenarios, every scene and NPC tend to have their own unique tracks I also use a soundboard during combat, to increase the dramatism a little!

I really enjoy players who take notes of details, piece up together information and can be relaxed enough to joke around and laugh when the time comes for it. Knowing how to balance seriousness and joking around is very important for me
