About me
Don't let the nice picture fool you, I've evolved into a mostly horror GM. Hello and welcome, I'm Puck. I've been playing ttrpgs for around 8 years now, and running just as long. I love roleplaying and colaborative worldbuilding as well as terryfing my PCs with visceral descriptions of distorted, unknowable monsters within the vast emptyness of space. Living in DnD5e (though much less so, nowadays), Kids on Brooms and Teens in Space, Masks a New Generation, a plethora of Indie Systems (including but not limited to Absurdia, the Bleeding, and Statements of Fear), as well as - newly - the Alien RPG, I like to throw myself into new systems and add them to my roster.
GM Style
I love roleplaying and colaborative worldbuilding as well as terryfing my PCs with visceral descriptions of distorted, unknowable monsters within the vast emptyness of space. I'm not the person for crunchy numbers combat, though I do love creative use of the combat environment. Many of the Systems I run have an aspect of collaborative worldbuildng, as well as "Relationship Questions". And even if the system doesn't, I tend to like including it anyway to help players that may or may not know each other get a starting point for roleplay.

I really enjoyed the game. The GM was very knowledgeable about the game and the VTT that we used. Made us all feel very comfortable and was very good at explaining the system. GM had really nice music/background in game along with giving great descriptions. I would play again.
Puck did a good job with the intro to the Kids on Brooms game. Great music and visual aids to set the scene. Good knowledge and explanations of the rules as we went along. I liked their use of evoking the five senses to make our theater of the mind very vivid. Very inclusive and safe game using safety tools.
We had so much fun! Learned a new system and a new VTT, and both were great. Puck let players be creative, but when I didn't have ideas and asked for help, they were there with good ideas. Seems to actually care about players and they're emotional wellbeing, not just going through the motions with safety tools, which is really great in a horror one shot with strangers.
This was my first experience with StartPlaying and it was great! Puck ran a super atmospheric and emotional horror one-shot. I had never used the OMM virtual tabletop or the Kids On Brooms systems but getting in to the game was easy and clear (and they're both very good!) I had never played a horror TTRPG session or in a game with this much emphasis on roleplay but I felt totally at home. I highly recommend Puck if you're considering one of their games, especially if you will be outside your comfort zone like I was!
The first game outside of my default game group was hosted by Puck, and boy was it a wonderful experience. Before the start of the game we went through lines and veils for the players, discussing shortly what each of the players were comfortable with - this I've learnt to be a common experience with Puck. If the plot went to somewhere unexpected - in our game, being under a vampire's thrall and being /intensly/ flirted with - Puck would make the effort to ask the player if they were comfortable with where the scene was going. Speaking of flirting - Puck's roleplaying capabilities are off the charts, especially with switching characters at the turn of a dime. Each character felt worth having a conversation with, and compelling to talk with. Conversations between NPCs and PCs were interesting to follow, even from outside of the scene. Puck was engaged with the player's stupidity and tomfoolery from the start, giving way to the players' goals by introducing relevant NPCs and plothooks as the game went on - even in a one-shot! There ain't much that can throw Puck off, but when it does happen, they can freely mess around with the players and not take the messing about to heart. - All-in-all, Puck's games are extremely inclusive and, to my experience, very well tailored to the players' individual experiences. Their work with NPCs and character interactions are second to none, and any boundaries set are boundaries kept. Puck deals with unexpected tomfoolery from players in stride, and keeps from letting it break the game. -If any boundaries are broken or something happens, Puck isn't afraid to bring it up and pause the game for the Players' safety and security, making Puck's games extremely beginner-friendly, inclusive and just a wonderful place to find yourself in. I recommend them wholeheartedly <3
