About Levi
I've been playing TTRPGs since high school, and I started GMing in 2018 (mainly Dungeons and Dragons with some Monster of the Week, Cairn, various One-Page RPGs here and there). I have several RPGs I've been wanting to get into, learn, and run. I currently work at a table-top board/ role-playing game shop where I've learned a lot and I've found plenty of RPGs I want to try out. I generally specialize in improvising, and working with PC backstories, bringing them into the game. I really enjoy role play, and while combat isn't my favorite part of the game, I've been working on ways to improve there. I've also been looking to add some dungeon crawl to some of my games. First and foremost though, I want to run games my players want to play, so I always try to include a session 0 for any game I run, or if it's a one-shot, I try to make it clear what will be in the session. I want to make people feel welcome at my table, and they can be creative, ask me questions, or bring up any issues they might have with what is going on in the game.

I became a GM because
It makes me feel more like myself than anything. Normally I'm pretty introverted and while that will always be true, there's something about running RPGs that makes me open up unlike anything else. As a neurodivergent that has a hard time opening up to others, it's something I really want to share.
When I'm not running games I'm...
I'm usually either at work at a tabletop games store, or hanging out with my wife and/or friends and/or family. I like watching YouTube gaming, TV shows, and movies. I also like playing video games including Satisfactory, Voidtrain, Outer Wilds, Odd Realm, Super Fantasy Kingdom, Etc.
How Levi runs games
I rely heavily on role playing most of the time, and I like to improvise with whatever direction the players want to go in. Combat isn't my favorite, but I've been trying to find ways to make it more engaging, and try to give opportunities to include combat in at least every other session. I try to get backstories from my players for their characters, or at least their characters' mindset, so I can work that into the story/ find things to engage their character. I try to have a session 0 for any campaign to set expectations for the table and set any boundaries to avoid any sensitive topics or serious phobias players may have. For one shots, I try to be clear about what will be in the session to avoid any misunderstandings if there isn't a possibility for prior discussion. I enjoy puzzles and mysteries (with a pinch of political intrigue and possibly a smidge of [player approved] romance to round it out ), and I've been interested in adding more dungeon crawls to my adventures, again with player understanding and agreement. Last but not least of all, I want to continue to learn new and better ways to enhance my games for better enjoyment at the table.

I prep by
Making plot points rather than a fleshed out series of events. Though generally there's a general story framework already established, either through a existing story/ background of the characters, and/or module that I can place the plot points in as I work the story around them and the characters.
My games focus on...
Narrative more than the rules. Rules are there to help create tension and guide the story in ways that make it compelling, but sometimes it's better to focus on what makes more sense narratively. And it's also funny to roll a 1 on CHA and fall flat on your face when you get on your knees to propose.
Levi's ideal table
I have to admit that my table style is pretty loose. I'm usually working off of backstories and whatever setting I'm using at the time, adjusting the settings for the backstories. I'm fairly open to homebrew, and I'm generally going to rule in favor of what would be most interesting for the table instead of "rules as written". So if you like thinking outside of the box, and alright with bending the rules a bit, you may like my table.
