About Pierre

Hi ! I'm Pierre, I fell into the pit-trap of GM-ing a bit more than a decade ago and felt so cosy I've never quite stopped since! I strive to foster an atmosphere of true adventure in my games, with exploration, danger and character moments in equal measure. I gel the best with dedicated players ready to deep-dive into our worlds and face the unknown ! I had a ton of fun introducing players to TTRPG and to new systems in the past - I will not shut up about how good Pathfinder 2d edition is - and hope to continue doing so here with both small introduction adventures and longer campaigns.

I ran my first game...

...After only a few sessions of DnD 4e, completely terrified and seriously over-prepared. I'd used my own then-character as a plot-point, which meant I was also gambling with his own life 😅 It was nerve-wracking but the rush was incomparable.

My favorite books are

- The Dresden File series: urban fantasy + emotional roller-coaster. - The Children of Time: smartest sci-fi I've read. - Dungeon Crawler Carl: Just because of the pure fun-factor.

When I'm not running games I'm...

- At the gym "for my stupid mental health". - Playing video games trying to make a dent in my backlog. - Reading / listening to fantasy or sci-fi books. (often while doing the above).

How Pierre runs games

I run games built around a true sense of adventure — high-fantasy, epic-scale stories where the stakes feel real and the world feels alive. My tables balance combat, exploration, and roleplay in roughly equal measure, so whether you love tactical fights, unraveling mysteries, or deep character moments, there's room for you. I like pulling players into the fabric of the game itself, whether through mechanics that let you shape the world or recurring NPCs whose fates are genuinely in your hands. Above all, my table is a safe space: ableism, racism, queerphobia, transphobia, misogyny, and similar behavior have no place here, full stop. If that sounds like your kind of game, I'd love to have you at the table!

My favorite trope is...

That all good adventures must begin in a tavern. That's where all the good gossip is, after all.

Rules are...

Best broken when truly understood. I'm a sucker for a devious plan relying on the rules and will absolutely facilitate players' cunning plans. I'm also very happy to be flexible when something doesn't make sense at the table and have been known to add a house-rule or three as a campaign goes along.

When it comes to voices

All my NPCs may or may not have a slight French twang...

Pierre's ideal table

My ideal table is a diverse group of note-takers, rules nerds, roleplay-enthusiasts all commited to support each other in their own ways.

I am for a vibe that's...

Collaborative, pro-active and relaxed.

I love it when a player

Puts their character at risk because of their commitment to roleplay. If a paladin must hold the line in the face of overwhelming odds, so be it... There might be a divine intervention ahead... Who knows?

I think min/maxing...

Has its place only if it is matched with the back-story or character progress to support it AND if it fosters collaboration, not competitiveness.
