About Peebs
( ˶°ㅁ°) !! Those eyes... I recognize your affliction, weary adventurer. The profile scrolling, the intrusive thoughts of your next character... it can't be! You have Tabletop Addiction! Come in quick, I have the solution! 🏠............🚶🚶♀️💨 ⛓𐂺⛓ AHA! Gotcha!! >:Dc I've got you in my Landing Page! Now you must sit through my sales pitch without ever leaving! MWEHEHE- wait, what do you mean you can just teleport out? ∘ ∘ ∘ ( °ヮ° ) ? "Back Button," you say? ... ( T ᗜ T ) NO, PLEASE!!, I wanna run a game for you!!! Let's get acquainted a bit at least, yeah? This won't take long... *clears throat* 👋😁 Yo! I'm PeanutBudderJ, or Peebs for short. And despite the kidnapping, welcome to my abode! Pretty cozy despite the chains, huh? Don't worry, I tied em' up real loosely. ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ 🧠 I've got a lot of things I'm passionate about: Martial Arts, Psychology, Public Speaking, Education, and of course, Tabletop Roleplaying Games. Squeezing them all together is one of my favorite things to do~ 🤯 And heck, TTRPGs are awesome, huh? It was love at first sight for me. What do you mean I could make my own character AND play them in a system?! Video games could never give me this much freedom!! 📖 After 5+ years behind the GM screen, I can confidently say that I LOVE both Homebrew and Collaborative Storytelling. Those backstories and NPCs you have? I'll make sure they actually matter at the table. Got a character concept that works better with some homebrew? Why not, let's switch things up! 😳 Recently, some friends who've tried paid D&D told me that I already match the production value they'd expect from a paid game. And while that's super duper humbling to hear, since I've been GMing for years anyway, I figured... Why not give professional GMing a go? ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ Gimme a shot, why don't ya? You won't regret it, man~ (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞ Oh, and lemme get those chains off of ya. If you're interested enough to listen to my whole spiel anyway, I'd love for you to decide for yourself if I'm worth your while. Just keep scrollin! Or leave me a message.

I started running games because...
When I was a wee 6 yr old lad, I always wanted to make a game with everyone's favorite fictional charas in it. However, I didn't have what it took to code, so I gave it up. Eventually, after learning TTRPGs had the flexibility coded games could never have, I decided to realize my childhood dream!
My favorite shows/movies are
They're mostly Anime! - Orb: On the Movements of the Earth - Naruto - Love in a Prism - Cyberpunk Edgerunners
When I'm not running games I'm...
Engaging in my various interests: such as Martial Arts (Muay Thai, Arnis, Shorin-Ryu Karate), Psychology Studies & Public Speaking Speaking of Psychology: I'm a Licensed Professional Teacher, Guidance Counselor, and Psychometrician, taking my PhD in Clinical Psych! I wanna help loads of people~
How Peebs runs games
🎭 Roleplay. I love characters whose backstories tie into their anxieties, guilts, dreams & convictions - and when those things fuel both their failures & successes. These moments are worth rewarding, and your backstory NPCs an honor for me to pilot. Let's explore the conflicts & relationships your characters thesis has! 🥋 Combat. I once rejected the idea that high-level play wasn't fun to run. Why should the characters you've grown with from Level 1 to 10 be "too strong?" Hell no, I'll adjust! This taught me that Combat isn't just about killing enemies. It's terrain, objectives, changing battlefields & legendary actions. And roleplay on TOP of combat? That tickles my Martial Arts brain so much! 🗺️ Exploration. Back in the day, Baby Peebs thought the Exploration Pillar was the boring one. What a dum dum, yeah? Dungeon Crawls, Hexcrawls & Point Crawls are SO much fun! I love giving players places to explore, problems to solve, and reasons for their characters' backstories to matter. ✌️ General. I usually run Rule of Cool, Rules-Lite Homebrew for 3–4 players. "Is that allowed?" is a boring question. "What's fun?" Sounds RIGHT up my alley. And while oneshotting the Overgod AO with your Vicious Mockery is out of the question, if you've got a ridiculous idea that fits your character, let's make it work!

I once ran a session...
where a player decided they'd accept Asmodeus' influence to hold back Strahd while the rest of the party escaped, in service to ending the session dramatically. But man, with that kind of opportunity? Hell no, why not?? Let's fight Strahd, I said! Everyone was so shocked! Every PC had stakes in it
My games focus on...
integrating character backstory into the lore of the world. Ultimately, the players are the Main Characters - wouldn't it suck to get thrown into a world not knowing why you're in it? Or the cool NPCs you wrote or liked never showing up or being relevant? It would, right? So! PC Backstory first
Rules are...
in my games, hand-picked in service of the game, and flexible in service to the moment. To add, the amount of rules really depends on what the players have the most fun with, whether it's classic or homebrew
Peebs's ideal table
I'm great with players who are experienced enough to be mindful of two things: 1.) Immersion and 2.) Momentum. 🧘 Immersion. When it's game-time, I'll help foster focus on the character & the world. And if everyone talks in character, or at least about the game, then everyone's gonna have fun imagining the world around them! 🏃 Momentum. When things are getting good, & the immersion's been established, don't just keep it rolling. Take initiative! If you want to chase your own story, even if it completely derails the prep I made, go for it! (So long as the other players aren't having a bad time.) I've been told I have great improv anyway~ 😎 A Third and Final skill I've learned to love recently too, the cherry on top, would be when a player has mastery over: 3.) Personal Relevance 🪞 Personal Relevance. When a character makes a decision, whether optimal or not, I love it if it's done in reference to the character's beliefs & backstory. This is especially in the case of painful memories, regrets or anxieties. Immersion just skyrockets because the moments become that more Impactful, encouraging other player to feel & reach out to their backstories too. It leads to Drama, then Character Growth, then Conviction. And I love it! So go ahead and look back to see that Eldritch Horror, because you were seeking answers. Go ahead and fire the shots at the innocent because your character thought it's what it took to bury the past. All of it warrants an inspiration.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
"Roleplay meets Homebrew" I really like experimenting; taking ideas from other systems and even video games in order to elevate the Roleplay experience. Once, I made it so you could bring your own Personal NPCs to battle. Even combat's roleplay for me! Let's find what's fun for all of us
I love it when a player
Makes another player look cool! A friend of mine taught me that in Improv, one of the Golden Rules is to "Make other players look cool." This doesn't mean not pushing your own story, but instead being interactive & supportive of others!
My table is not the place for...
Unethical Behavior! This includes Bullying, Insulting, & Interrupting - the hobby's gotta be a safe space for everyone, otherwise immersion & fun's never gonna happen Also! Last minute schedule changes are unpreferred, save for emergencies. Pls give me a day notif at least!
