About Ana aka Peace of Wine
Gen-X, π³οΈβπ LGBT+, she/her, π₯Ύ I like to hike while plotting my sessions, π§π½βπ¨ painting miniatures for my games. I was introduced to D&D in 2020 by a friend who asked for two hours of our time as her birthday present so she could try a new game β and here we are six years later, loving every minute of it. In 2021 I decided to try DMing and discovered the other side of the game, the one that reconnected me with the creative teenager in me. I've been DMing since then, and last year I branched out into Daggerheart. I have thousands of hours of experience running games both online, with Alchemy RPG, and in person. I'm dedicated to reaching a satisfying conclusion for every campaign β including yours. I've run published modules, but never quite "as written" β they become open worlds where you and the dice tell the story. I always adapt the adventure around your PC backstory and create the opportunities you need to achieve the goals you set for yourselves (or not...). Preparation and improvisation are the cornerstones of my sessions. Session 0 can make or break a campaign, so I always make sure mine are thorough. It's the time for me to get to know you, introduce you to the world and what to expect, establish rules and limits, and find out your preferences and expectations. For online games I use Alchemy VTT with animated digital maps, music, and sound. My webcam is always on; for you it's optional.

I started running games because...
I could be creative again! Life had put that side of me into storage, and when I started playing in 2020, I reconnected with it. Fantasy became my escape from reality β NPCs, PCs, plots, entire worlds started brewing in my imagination, and here I am, in another life-altering decision!
My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
D&D 5e, Daggerheart, πͺΆPen & Paper.
When I'm not running games I'm...
π² Playing! Currently in the middle of the jungles of Tomb of Annihilation! π Reading, π¨ painting miniatures, and π° building maps for my games are also hobbies of mine. I also like to π₯Ύhike the woods near my home where several plots where born.
How Ana aka Peace of Wine runs games
You create the game. I run modules, but I'm prepared to be flexible and roll with whatever you throw at me. I build the adventure around your PCs' backstories so you can be invested in the game and have fun with a challenging experience! My goal is to create a fun table where you can express yourself, have a great time, and make friends. It starts at session 0. We get to know each other, establish preferences, house rules, and content warnings. My space is a safe space. I personally don't like detailed descriptions of gore and blood, and themes like explicit sex or sexual assault are not in my campaigns. My worlds are open, and what your PCs do and say matters. I also let the dice write the story. My combats are not balanced β it's up to you to know when to fight and when to run. Since you have free access to the whole world, it isn't risk-free, and it's challenging, but I always do my best to reach a satisfying conclusion. Sometimes the dice don't cooperate, though, so be prepared with a backup PC! π§ββοΈ Table conduct Everybody is welcome. PvP and disruptive play are not allowed. Be kind and respectful. Safe space. Resources Digital maps from several artists on Patreon Music from Tabletop Audio Alchemy RPG Discord D&D Beyond Game Style The GM is your biggest fan! Fights can be challenging. Choices matter β the world reacts to what you do. Everyone gets a chance to shine.

I deal with rules issues by...
Defining house rules in session zero. During the game I have the basic rules with me. If there are any doubts, I will check the book if it's fast, otherwise I will decide in the moment and clarify later β normally at the beginning of the next session.
I once ran a session...
Where the words of one PC ended up with the party in jail, then into a prison break, a chase through the city, and an encounter with the Boss in the woods. All prep useless! Luckily someone polymorphed the Boss into a snail and the party ran away. 3H of improvisation! So much fun for everyone!
My games focus on...
my players. Their ideas, backstories and creativity. Rules are guidelines to create a fun game. The world reacts to the players' decisions, and it's up to them to decide when it's time to fight, to talk, or to run.
Ana aka Peace of Wine's ideal table
My ideal table is an inclusive one where everyone treats each other with respect. The main goal is to have fun β a table where you're invested in the adventure, take risks, get creative, and support your fellow players. Where you make your own fun and engage with what's in front of you.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
If you're into unpredictable stories where anything can happen, my table is for you. I let the dice decide your fate and write the story β for better or worse. I ask for frequent D20 tests, and I never fudge the dice. If luck isn't on your side, bad... or good... things can happen.
I love it when a player
gets creative, thinks outside the box, is a team player and lifts up the adventure and the other players.
I think metagaming...
is something I talk about in session 0, because even experienced players slip into it without noticing. It's not a big deal when it happens β I'll just give you a friendly heads-up in the moment, and we move on. I just ask that we all try to keep player knowledge and character knowledge separate.
