About Ophelia Gray

What’s up, Nerds! I've been playing TTRPGs for about six years now and have been GMing home games for two years. When playing, I've always been a chaotic player who enjoys pressing the shiny red button in any scene. In my free time I love immersing myself in my world and I've made more than my fair share of character playlists. When I write for my games, I find myself most inspired by writers such as Shakespeare, R.F. Kuang, Leigh Bardugo, George R. R. Martin, and Holly Black. 📖 I can’t help it, I've always loved a good tragedy, But whatever your characters story turns out to be will be something we’ll have fun making together! As far as Genre’s go, Gritty fantasy owns my heart, especially when inspired by historical events. Personally, I've always had a weakness for a good morally gray protagonist! 🤤 I mean just look at some of my favorite literary characters: Hamlet, Fang Runin, Alicent Hightower, Kaz Brekker, and Jude Duarte. And if I really want to be a weeb about it, I'd add Ken Kaneki to the list. 😅 I love it when heroes get pushed past their breaking point, it's where you truly see the character flourish. Let’s make yours shine together!

How Ophelia Gray runs games

Heavy Roleplay Focus: I prefer telling a story through dice rather than just rolling dice. Everything has a reason in my stories, as I work hard to make the world as immersive as possible. I take more pleasure in having players interact with the world I put them into rather than just having a dungeon crawl. Rule of Cool: Completely for it in almost every situation, as long as there's reason! If something makes the game more exciting/cinematic and the other players are on board, I am completely for it! Combat: I hate combat without purpose. I am not the type to throw an encounter out just because I think you need something to do, there will always be a reason. That being said, I am also not the type to hold back when in combat, though if your character dies and there's still plenty of their arc to explore, we can work together to ensure everyone's satisfaction. Homebrew: For the most part, I'm alright with any homebrew, and encourage it if you want something tailored to your character. All homebrew items must be approved by me, though.
