About Gabs

Heyo! I'm Gabs your friendly neighbourhood GM. I've had a deep love for roleplaying since I was 12, having written long form RPs for well over 10 years. My TTRPG journey is more recent as I've been playing for 4 years now. My favourite part of TTRPGs is being able to host a collaborative space where no matter what your ability level is, you can still create something that feels like home. My goal is to host spaces where we can come together as strangers and find mutual joy in the art of storytelling and maybe, just maybe a bit of respite from the struggles of everyday. I look forward to the worlds and stories we'll discover and shape together. I am a new GM and though I strive to offer the absolute best services, I am still constantly learning and growing. I love the process so rest assured I am like a shark in water, never not moving forward! Lastly, I cater for neurodivergent and disabled players as I understand the accessibility issues around a lot of TTRPGs. I would like to make this space as accessible for everyone as I can. I became a GM because

My cousin is a forever GM and was kind enough to get me started in his games as a player. I realized it would be great to make games for him. I then proceeded to learn that world building as a GM was everything I loved doing in writing but with friends.

Working as a vet receptionist, looking after animals full time, fostering fluffgremlins, finding new and interesting ways to kill NPCs and make dinner not boring. You can also find me at most fantasy style events or lurking on a beach trying to become one with the seagulls. They've yet to accept me.

How Gabs runs games

I love storytelling and world building, prioritizing roleplay and exploration with my focus on creating colourful and expansive settings. Whether that's a world to explod- I mean explore- or a little tavern or town. I have a soft spot for fantastical creatures, silly little guys and the kind of humour that leaves your sides aching from laughter. I'm unfortunately not good with voices or accents but I'm improving and I don't expect players to be able to do that either. I always welcome and value creativity and self expression at whatever level you feel most comfortable and happy with! I enjoy both heavy and light combat, the prior being typically hosted on Owlbear Rodeo, the rest in theatre of the mind.
