About Alexandria

I’ve been professionally DMing for 3 years, and voluntarily for different organizations for 5. My experience is in both Tabletop and Live Action settings. I love orchestrating plot beats that play off of what my players’ backstories and in-game actions. I ask the hard questions, both to you as a player and to your character. I currently run games for Not a Game Larp out in Lebanon, OH! I’m happy to run games based on their setting using their Digital Event System. Featured Prompts

The three words my players would use to describe me are...

Collaborative, Resourceful, and Elaborate. I roll with the punches, and my plotlines roll with me. I leave openings for the players to flesh out their world, and collaborate with them on what’s left.

How Alexandria runs games

My style is roleplay centric. I focus heavily on continuity and in-character bonds. I give player actions meaning, rewarding actions that take creativity and thought. I’m known for my impactful storylines and prose. My philosophy is player safety and experience above all else. Rules as written, realism, and immersion are nice to have, but never at the expense of the players. There’s a difference between consequences and taking the fun out of a situation. I rely heavily on transparency and communication. I’m the GM that will notice who has and hasn’t been talking, and make sure everyone gets a chance to pursue the things they want.

My games focus on...

the characters and situations that change them. Static characters come to my table to die, because the very nature of my plotlines is to challenge what you know about themselves and the world.

Alexandria's ideal table

My ideal table is a bunch of enthusiastic, roleplay heavy players that understand the difference between writing a roleplay character and writing a novel. Games like this are very much about what you put in, and so many players just walk in expecting plot to just happen to them. Scenes you’ve dreamt of may not happen, but so, so many that you weren’t expecting, will. Every player gets their turn in the limelight, but it’s about the situation they’re in today and how it impacts them, not about that soliloquy you dream of giving.

I think metagaming...

is a weapon. Whether it’s good or bad heavily depends on how you use it. Positive metagaming is a must at my table. Character vs Character doesn’t have to be Player vs Player, scenes can be discussed. Ooc Collaboration allows you to orchestrate the game you want, and get help in the trip there.
