Hi and welcome! My name is Sam, and I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and creating immersive, atmospheric experiences. That’s been true in my songwriting—and even more so since I became a game master. Like many, I first stepped into the world of tabletop roleplaying as a player. A friend introduced me to Shadowrun through one-on-one sessions, and I was instantly hooked. I fell in love not just with the setting, but with the boundless creativity—and with the fact that GMs and players build the world together. After a few years (and several systems explored), my friends and I eventually found a home in Dungeons & Dragons and the 5e system. I’ve been running regular games since 2017 and am always looking for ways to improve and grow as a GM. Now, I want to share what I’ve learned—my ideas, my stories, and my time—with others. How No Rails Just Tales runs games

Most important to me is, that the players get to decide. If you play with me, i will do my best so you can play the character that you imagine and do what you want. You have some rare race you always wanted to play? Let us have a look how we can make this happen. You want to skip the world changing quest, that the important NPC gave you, because you didn't like him, which throws aboard all my preparations for this (and the upcoming) session? Let's do it! At the same time i want to create an atmosphere that sucks you in, describe the world around you so you can almost see and feel it. And before we start to play we can discuss on what you and the group loves most: be it a balanced mix of exploration, roleplaying and combat or an emphasis on one of those.
