About Nolan F.
Experienced DM and player, I have had one session a week since the beginning of the COVID pandemic. I'm always eager to learn a new system and learn fast. I have experience playing and dming a multitude of variations of modified D&D 5e including Elder Scrolls and Star Wars. When hosting conventional 5e I tend to have it take place in my own homebrew setting with rich worldbuilding that I haven't stopped adding to since I started writing it down years ago.

How Nolan F. runs games
My first rule will always be the rule of cool. If you as a player can justify a game breaking action and make a good argument, I may let you do it. I have a few house rules that I use for immersion purposes but that will always be discussed in session 0s. The combat I tend to run in my games are adapted to all skill levels and expectations my group has put on me in our session 0. When I know my players can handle it I don't pull my punches and character death is to be an expected possibility. Outside of combat I like to deliver my players a compelling narrative that make them eager for the next session.

I like my tables to be a mix of silly and serious. I like it when my players are immersed in the story we are collectively trying to tell with room for over the top silly moments.
