About James

I have been a Forever GM since I started playing D&D 3.5e at 12 years old, so why not get paid to do something I have a passion for? I run multiple systems and believe in giving each PC their time in the limelight, and that the collaborative storytelling experience of TTRPGs can be a great escape. We never stopped playing pretend, we just made it fair. I have DM'd for a podcast project, Discordant Dungeons, and ran professional games in-person and online as a freelancer in Pullman, WA and Japan from 2017 till present. I USE NO AI IN ANY OF MY PROJECTS. You're paying for a real person. My current systems that I can run (in order of preference) are Tales of the Valiant, D&D 5e (2014), Marvel Multiverse, DIE the RPG, Avatar: Legends, Ronin, Henshin! and Goblin Slayer TRPG. Pricing: Running a Pre-Made module/adventure from my Library-$50 PP (Per Player) Running a Pre-Made Module I have to buy-$50 PP + Cost of Module upfront Running a fully custom (To your specs) Homebrew Campaign/Adventure-$75 PP

I got started GMing...

at my 12th birthday party. I saw the 3.5e Starter Set in Toys R Us, asked if that could be the setup for my party, and I've never looked back. I still have the beat up old box!

How James runs games

I believe everyone deserves the chance to have their character shine in the limelight. I focus my efforts on providing rich worldbuilding, NPC dialogue, voices, and personal attention to your character's arc and backstory. Whether it's a homebrew campaign or a pre-made module, I always make tweaks and tie-ins so that your story is part of the party's journey. I balance logic with the rule of cool as best as I can, but also try to make the stakes matter with balanced combat and tactics dependent on your enemies. NO X-RATED GAMES Module Library Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden Waterdeep: Dragonheist Curse of Strahd Keys to the Golden Vault (Standalone Adventures Available) Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen Spelljammer: Light of Xaryxis Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos Ghosts of Saltmarsh (Standalone Adventures Available) The Sunken Pyramid Labyrinth Adventures !Coming Soon! James's ideal table

My ideal table is one that knows they're all on the same team. Not to say that party conflict or drama is banned, but knowing where the line between fantasy and reality is, as well as what is fun drama for the group as opposed to harmful conflict is VERY important. If the party and people all get along, then the adventure will be what you make of it!
