About MrDDT

I'm a longtime Game Master with years of experience playing and running Dungeons & Dragons 5e and other TTRPGs. I’ve embraced the role of the 'forever GM' because I genuinely love it. Crafting immersive worlds and giving players the freedom to explore, create, and shape the story is what makes GMing so rewarding for me. One of my top priorities is player agency—I love giving players the power to make meaningful choices that influence the world around them. Introducing new people to the magic of TTRPGs and watching them light up with excitement is one of my greatest joys. At my table, I strive to make every player feel like an integral part of the story. Whether it’s through custom-created items, spells, NPCs, puzzles, or entire worlds, I pour my creativity into building experiences that feel personal and impactful. While I stick to the rules, I’m also flexible and attentive to the needs of the group. For me, the ultimate goal is to ensure everyone is having fun and that we’re playing by the rules we all enjoy most.

How MrDDT runs games

I like to strike a great balance between roleplay and roleplayed combat, all within the framework of the 5e system. If you’re someone who enjoys spending an hour haggling with a merchant over the price of spellbook paper, my style might not be the best fit—those interactions will typically be handwaved to keep the game flowing. However, if you’re excited about diving into the story, bringing your character to life, and showcasing their personality, knowledge, and emotions, then we’re going to have a fantastic time. I love hearing how your characters think, feel, and act in the world we create together! When it comes to combat, you have options: simply tell me what you want to do, and we’ll make it happen, or take it a step further and describe your actions with flair if that’s your style. If you’d rather keep things straightforward, leave the descriptions to me—I’m happy to narrate the action and bring the scene to life.
