About Salem
Hello! I'm Salem (he/him), and I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons for the better part of 20 years and GMing for 10. I've played with lifelong tabletop nerds and brand new players alike.

How Salem runs games
My focus as a GM is always on providing a whimsical, escapist and fun experience for players to enjoy. My GMing style puts a focus on roleplay, character development and storytelling over combat, but still has plenty of action and stakes. My table is always a safe space for LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent players, so come on in and have a good time! Immersion is the name of the game for my table, so I like to reward players who have fun with their roleplaying and spend time having in-character conversations with inspiration points and other in-game bonuses.
Salem's ideal table
My table is relaxed and laid back. If you're the kind of player who enjoys immersive storytelling, puzzles, and roleplay over rule-heavy dungeon crawls, my table is a good fit for you. The only thing I do not accept at my table is intolerance, since my games are geared towards being a safe space for diverse players.

I am for a vibe that's...
Welcoming and accepting, with plenty of room for creativity and whimsy.
I love it when a player
really puts their heart into developing and roleplaying their character. What are their mannerisms? Their traumas? Their flaws? What motivates them? I will take the time to read your 12 page backstory, so go wild!
I think it's a red flag when players...
Write characters who are completely unmotivated to be adventurers or have any connection to the rest of the party. If you want a solo game, by all means play a solo game, but cooperative group ttrpgs are a social experience by nature.
